Curse those greenies, they are just costing people money!
I checked the site. COH doesn’t know what material service lines are in my neighborhood.
Which is interesting because they installed many service lines themselves in recent memory.
Our neighborhood was originally served by a 2" water main along the back property line (sitting a foot or so above the sewer line.) Service lines and water meters were in the back yard.
Around 2000, COH built new water mains and fire hydrants along the street, providing fire protection for the first time. But they didn’t move anyone’s service off the old water main at that time, apparently assuming that people would do so as the neighborhood redeveloped(?)
That didn’t happen, so about 5 or so years ago, COH finally came through and connected everyone to the main in the front yard, allowing them to abandon the ~70 year old water main in the back.
All that to say… how does COH not know the service line material when they built them?
Lol what does inorganic lead have to do with organics?
Seems like a public works issue
It’s a mandate from the EPA. The EPA!
You know they did that only to install the smart meter where they can read your meter remotely. Remember the meter readers when you were younger? Another job lost.
Trust me not complaining, i had to sign a waiver out here in austin that “to their best awareness” that my apartment was lead free
I think that’s standard all over Texas.
Yeah, there was a long line of applicants to go out and hop fences, fend off dogs, and dodge bullets.
