I just don’t get how the B1G is such a supposed Powerhouse and part of the so called P2 Super, well besides money. Since 2000 B1G has won a total of 3 Nattys in the Big $$$ sports…in last 21 years they’ve won a massive amount of ONE.
Football - OSU 2002 and 2014

How many have other conferences won? Pretty much the same except for SEC.
Big 12 - 2 (OU and UT)
ACC - 3 (2 for Clemson and 1 for FSU)
PAC-12 - 1 (USC)
SEC - 13 (LSU - 3, Auburn - 1, Florida - 2, UGA - 2, Bama 5)
Big East - 1 (Miami)
BIG - 2(OSU)

Yep. Although, how many basketball titles has the BIG won since 2000? One - Michigan State in 2000.
A lot of appearances but not titles. Not counting Maryland as they were ACC when they won their title.
Even the SEC, which is not a strong basketball conference, has 3 (UK - 1 and UF - 2).
ACC and Big East dominate this sport:
ACC - Duke - 3, UNC - 3, UVA - 1, Maryland - 1 (Now BIG),
Big East - UConn - 3, Villanova - 2, Syracuse - 1 (Now ACC), Louisville - 1 (Now ACC)
Big 12 - Kansas - 2, Baylor - 1,
SEC - UF - 2, UK - 1
PAC-12 - 0
BIG - MSU - 1
AAC - UConn - 1 (Now Big East)
Honestly, it is quite eye opening. The PAC-12 sucks at literally every sport. BIG is competitive in every sport but can never seem to quite get over the hump.

CougarConference nailed it. The B1G is a powerhouse because they get a lot of viewers with Michigan and Ohio St. It is about viewers and TV ratings - marketing and perception are very powerful. Little to do with on field performance.
