Metro Rail to Stadium?

I am coming to my first game at the stadium Thursday night. I see a Metro Rail stop near the stadium and I think it is the Purple Line. Does anyone know if you can park near downtown and ride the Purple line to the stadium?

The stop says Robertson Stadium but I presume that is the new UH stadium.

Also if we do drive I have Blue Lot parking that shows shuttles. Do the shuttles run during the game or only before or after. Thanks.

I tried speaking with Metro but she was literally of no help whatsoever. If this belongs on another forum I’ll repost if told.

Welcome. You can park anywhere near theatre district , Main Street sun station, or EADO near shell energy stadium (mls soccer stadium).

The ride is free on game days.

Yes, exit TSU/
Robertson stadium which is right in front of stadium on Scott st.

You absolutely can. A lot of people park at Palm Center Transit Center and ride the train in. There’s also been parking at the MMP/Dynamo lots in the past when there’s not game, but I’m not sure.

I’ve ridden the rail from downtown to TDECU. Works well. It used to be free if you had a ticket to the game.

Yep! You’re right palm center is the best option on crowded games on Saturday. Palm center trains seem to run a bit quicker (south bound trains)

Still free. We usually park in EADO. We’ll eat at one of the cool EADO venues like COBO then ride into TDECU via train.

You can also park near East End Backyard then walk to the Leeland train station along Scott.

Welcome to TDECU, are you scouting for Nov. 4th?

Yes we need to get Metro to fix that. Lol

I haven’t parked in the lots for last 2 years, so my info is dated, but I don’t think the shuttles
are for fans but rather students during normal days. But I could be wrong about that. When I lot parked, most people just walked it seemed. Not a far walk if nobody in your party has any mobility problems.

Edit-Looks like there is game day shuttle !

There is a shuttle bus from the Blue Lot to the stadium garage.

The station was officially renamed a few years ago. It is now the “TSU/UH Athletics District” Station.

Yes. I’m 82 and have high BP so I’m looking to walk as little as possible once I arrive at stadium. I missed the first three games :frowning: but looking forward to seeing the new stadium and hoping for a win. When I scrolled on Metro Rail to find a route the option was Robertson. Glad to see this map. I had been looking for something like this map.

I’ll be parking at Palm Center and riding Metro Rail to the game tomorrow  it’s free!

I used to park in the cash lots on campus, but going to every game the cost of parking alone really adds up for a poor recent grad like me.
