LSU Practicing at UH Facilities

Baylor was using Rice’s stadium

I thought rice added a practice bubble?

LSU was outside yesterday until the weather and went inside

I can’t remember anyone suggesting that we shrink TDECU to 15K or at all. Your strawman is what is ridiculous, not being prudent about sinking money into something without demand. Whenever it becomes necessary and financially feasible, I am sure our stadium will be expanded.

I’ve said this before, aggie engineer the seats/bleacher to be narrower, boom more capacity.

I’ve talked to a few people that have used Rice’s bubble. I have not hear one good thing about it.

Hands down my biggest complaint of watching football at NRG is the narrow seats

Does anyone have the rendering of what the expanded stadium looks like? I remember seeing what expansion would look like.

Nothing official but there’s this old post from several years ago with some PS. Not mine. Just sharing.

That expanded pic is beautiful……it will happen one day guys….

We waited a LONG time to get our seat back at the big boy table.

Let’s give Willie an opportunity to get us rolling and see what happens….
Getting into the playoff will do wonders, not only for fans but for recruiting purposes.
If Fritz is our CKS of football it will happen….if he’s not then we’ll find the right guy.

But i firmly believe it’s gonna happen……don’t forget, we get full shares soon.

Let’s be a university that’s good in EVERYTHING….get the baseball, softball and women’s basketball in order and winning….you’d be surprised how much of a difference it can be….

Recruits and fans see us for more than just being a “basketball school”.

The fan base builds and you have UH fans saying “let’s go check out a baseball game” “I hear they are really good”……that is how the UH fan base will grow….

But the fringy fans have to see there is a good product to go and see and cheer for….nobody has a damn thing to go cheer for at women’s basketball, baseball or softball….they are all pathetic programs right now….its got to change.

Tap in to all those different fan groups in Houston….softball and baseball are bigger in Houston than almost anywhere else in the country….those moms and dads will bring their kids to good products….and good coaches network with local showcase programs and HS coaches……this entire thing can grow by leaps and bounds….

Wow, I did not mean to type all that when I started and I realize it’s OT so feel free to move or delete….

The NRG seats are so narrow that I had bruises on both hips after our last game there.

We literally just decreased capacity…

It’s really weird. I have so many UT fans who I have to remind them they graduated from UH.
and now Texas is good again, it’s just the weirdest thing to me.

How do you graduate from Houston and Texas is your favorite team to support?

By a couple hundred seats which the revenue of the new suites and club seats make up for the small reduction. You’ll live.

And it’s likely temporary as I bet the next expansion is to build out some suites on the press level. There’s space. Our SRO will be over 40K easily with the open concourses above both end zones.

Lol…when we can start averaging 40k maybe we can expand…but right now you want to expand to 75-80k so we can beg an SEC to come here to play us?
Can you imagine what a dungeon that would be playing the rest of our games? Well, maybe some of the visiting schools would like it so they can outnumber our fans.
Just start winning, pray we can get people interested in our product, and carry on from there…

We sat by a couple who were UH grads and they were season ticket holders two years ago…well for one year.
They bought season tickets because all three of their children graduated from UT.
Haven’t seen them since…

As someone who had that phase . It was because we were in the CUSA and felt like an after thought and wanted to root for something in state in a power conference. Would not root for the Aggies, sure as hell would not root for the two that edged us out of a spot. Sure UT was arrogant and also tossed us aside but the pickings were slim and they were the least worst.

That’s makes me wonder - I’ve seen families who graduated from local schools (only ones that would even give them a chance) get more excited if a kid or grandchild attends a place like UT or A&M
