LSU Practicing at UH Facilities

60,000 > 40,000 that’s all that matters.

Well then - guess we’ll play them at NRG then. No way they’ll want to play us at TDECU.

and if we were to expand, just put a tarp over the areas not being used. (UCLA does that if I’m not mistaken)

Keep the TDECU expansion jokes coming…

I think 50-55k is best. 52k is the sweet spot.

lol we have the smallest stadium in the B12.

How about we expand the stadium, but save money by not installing seats and just tarp it all off. We’ll just claim a higher capacity and not let people look under the tarp.

Back in 2010 an SEC team, MSU, played at Robertson, which is smaller than TDECU Stadium. So it can and has happened.

EDIT: also Vanderbilt played at TDECU stadium.

No we don’t. Cincinnati does

No it’s us now. Less than 40k

Our capacity is listed at 40k
Cincy’s is like at 40k also

Cincinnati had seats removed for the soccer team they were hosting. It dropped them to 38k. We’re only slightly below 40k bc of the football facility construction.

Can’t we bring lawn chairs for the roof of the football facility?

We should not fail to take advantage of a ready to go “party patio”.

I prefer bean bags lol

Okay, we have the second smallest stadium in the B12 lol

Probably the only team (SEC) we could convince to play us at TDECU at the moment. When Bama and tu played them at home, it looked like an away game for Vandy

Baylor is practing at Rice Stadium.

Who did they tick off to draw that straw?

Lmao

Hopefully this open up opportunities for the teams playing in Houston for the 2026 World Cup.

So we have had an SEC team play us at TDECU without expanding it, correct? And also at the previous smaller capacity Robertson Stadium? Right…??
