I hope so!! But without a TRUE big man and our crappy free throw shooting I just don’t see it, beating Kentucky and North Carolina ain’t easy

Gonna point out that making an unconventional pick by a ex-player/TV guy adds interest to his spiel while the tourney unfolds. I hope so, but we gotta win a few games first.

I realize that we’re a #3 seed, but if we make it to the Final Four ahead of Kentucky and UNC…it’ll still be a “Cinderella” story of sorts.

No easy wins in this tournament. Ga St. won’t be easy. And, I have to say, Harris is a true big man. He lacks the minutes that Brady and White and Gresham have and he can’t make a foul shot which you have to be able to do to be an effective big man because you are going to get fouled.

You’re going to get more foul shots in the tourney. Maybe 5-7 more per game because coaches are gonna run their entire bench at you to survive.

We could turn that around though.

Harris is a tall player with defensive skills, but lacking in offensive ability which limits his contributions.

He is not an offensive threat. He has improved a lot since about midway in the season. He looks for the ball better, but doubt he will ever be the offensive threat that we need at that position.

None of our bigs are consistent offensive threats. Brady had a big game in Philly. Harris is good cleaning up and within about 5-6 feet of the goal. For me, that’s enough. We’ll see how he develops in the off season.

We’re 31-3 without the need for a major offensive threat from the 5 position. We need the 5 position to play good defense, rebound and make an offensive contribution. I believe Harris’ will be a contributor the balance of this season, but next year we will see a major dividend.
