Im tired of the attendance shaming

It’s not about being “right.” Far too many people have said our attendance was one of the reasons we didn’t the Big XII. To hear people talk about how we were 42, 44, 45,000 fans at most games, then say our attendance was too low was frustrating.

It’s not all that hard to tell the truth. It’s not about being right. It’s just about being honest.

Unless you’re trying to teach your kids a lesson, honesty in attendance reporting doesn’t mean anything.

Good thing Todd Stone has no barring on UH’s P5 inclusion.

Reason why we didn’t get into the B12 had ZERO to do with UH attendance and everything to do with OU/UT collusion with ESPN on additional money ESPN would be on the hook for with the new teams. BYU didn’t get in and they have better attendance at home and on the road than any B12 team. This attendance myth needs to die

Todd is a troll. Attendance was solid last night. Todd didn’t watch the Alabama Vandy game right before ours that probably had 2K in the stands or a lot of other games that are on TV these days.

EXACTLY - the Little12 never had any intention of taking us - or anyone else - into their little play house; that entire months-long drama was just for show! Nothing else. The sooner that thing implodes - the better!

Tood Stone can get bent.

Man, I didn’t know where to post this one, but figured this was a good one with the talk of not getting into the Big 12. Here’s our “supporter,” Red McCombs talking about the Herman hire. Don’t really care about most of it, but a line at the end caught my eye:

“We’ll be back in that circle of the top five or six teams in the country soon,” McCombs said. “It won’t take long. I think Tom will blow the lid off it. In 10 years, we’ll get an awful lot out of him. And after Major Applewhite does the same thing at Houston, then we’ll get him.”

God, I hate UT.

The honesty you want may not be the honesty you want to hear.

  1. TDECU stadium was designed with two concourses that look out onto the playing field. All those views you moan about contain pictures of the people in the concourses? If so I bet that they were crowded.
  2. In a number of games where the stands looked thin, I would look at the concourses and see a throng of people. Some were there because they were just getting there, some were getting drinks or food, some where staying out of the sun or rain in one case lighting.
  3. I would also agree with those that mention the fact that the cowardly 12-4+2 expansion was a sham. They may have gotten more money from their shyster partners, but they became the farce of college football they are.

Like I have said before - “NEVER - EVER - TRUST A WHORN; IF THEY SAY ‘GOOD MORNING,’ CHECK YOUR WATCH; IT IS PROBABLY AFTER NOON”!

100% agree.
red mccombs was our supporter? Let me ask everyone. Where did that get us? We stayed in the same conference and they stole our Coach? How is that for supporting us?
I have reached that conclusion now but the best course of action for us is to sue our way into a P5.
The two Texas Teams that dominated the SWC multiple years, located in major metropolitan areas and won National Championships have not been in a P5 since 1996.
I can’t stand SMU but Dan Patrick was exactly right both should be in a P5. Let’s worry about ourselves but it does not take a genius to think that there is something rotten in Denmark.

Senile. He’s 89 or so? I doubt he will be around to see that or influence that should Herman stay for 10 years. If Herman ends up going the way of Charlie Strong, I can see a vocal majority of people against hiring Major from UH, cause why do the same thing if it didn’t work before? If he wasn’t 89, I’d be more offended at the attitude.
