I feel like these arguments are fair. Leaving it up to Congress to decide could make it political when the ultimate decision should be based on studies and research, which is why other tribes think it should be up to the Department of Interior. Nevertheless I feel the Lumbees have a strong case.

The Lumbee Tribe gave us both Coach and the wrestler Tatanka. I dont know what more they need to be federally recognized.
