The Rangers doing what they are doing, is exactly why I said I wanted the Orioles in a potential ALCS matchup.
Rangers v Astros is going to grow to a rivalry level that is on par with Cards v Cubs or Dodgers v Giants. Maybe not as big as Yankees v Red Sox but who knows.
Let’s try and beat Pablo Lopez tonight first.

It would certainly be good for the league for it to develop into a top tier rivalry. But right now all that matters is beating the team in front of us.
I want the perceived mega-rivalry as the Astros vs Yankees.

His fastball is just a mess this year.
When he comes out throwing 80% breaking balls its a bad sign. Probably didn’t feel the velocity in warm ups. Can’t hang curves against them. Throw FBs. They strike out more than anyone.
At least he’s still good for a few double plays

He hasn’t pitched in a while, so I’m hoping that this is just him shaking off some rust. 44 pitches in 2 innings, though - yikes.
When is this Lopez guy a FA. He looks pretty comfortable pitching at MM. Might make a good Astros.
