Here’s to hoping the playoff starting rotation includes Javier
Would rather face the Mariners than Jays….Jays are capable of playing better than their record indicates….
My preferred rotation:
JV
LMJ
Framber
Javier
Totally agree. Plus Springer scares me.
I would flip Lance and Framber……gives them a different look.
A local sports radio talk show discussion that I listened to today agrees with your rotation. I’m inclined to agree given LMJ pitches very well at MMP.
If the ALDS goes five games JV will be pitching game four. Tuesday is game one and Sunday is game four.
"Least Earned Runs Allowed By Team, 2022
- Dodgers: 451
- Astros: 465"
Some 2022 draft guys get a mention.
Our rotation looks to be awesome.
The offense still worries me a bit.
In case anyone was wondering the Astros did indeed break their record for lowest runs allowed total in a full season. 534 was the mark to beat (set in 2018), the good guys ended the year at 518. Good for just under 3.2 a game.
That’s a nearly impossible feat over 162 games. And with our pen struggling the first part of the year.
Way to go Funk!!! Put the jinx on us!
Lol.
After reviewing the overall performance of the team I’ve concluded that middle relief is #%ed and its another year as a bridesmaid.
It is coming down to the bats. Altuve, Alvarez, Bregman, Tucker. If they are hot we will win it all. If they are cold…
One quality of this Astros team is they can win different ways….Can hang in a slugfest or in a 3-2 game.
Biggest difference this year’s playoffs is having JV and LM……we got two games away without them last year.
Remember the day we said, “we’d have won had we had JV, Lance, and Myers?”
Painful watching this Cardinal-Phillies game right now. Cards coughing up the game right now because they can’t field ground balls.
Letdown. I don’t like Philadelphia
Home plate ump didn’t help StL any. Stott should have been called out on strikes which would have limited the Phillies to 3 runs in the 9th.
