Given that the game will be played at Arrowhead Stadium, does that sort of mitigate Kansas’ home field advantage a bit? I always felt that UH didn’t have a full home field advantage during the season it played at NRG / BBVA, and Arrowhead is further away from Lawrence than UH’s temporary stadiums were from its campus.
Agreed, it’ll be a very tough game since it’s a must win for both programs. Kansas was on a bye as well so, that negates that advantage. Kansas is a physical team. I worry that their team and system has been in place longer than ours. Plus after the TCU game, every team will take us more seriously.
The bye week was bigger for us than for KU
Presumably it means Chris is running with the first team and getting most of the reps in practice for 2 weeks thus
Enabling hopefully an expanded playbook vs KU
Kansas knows what to expect.from our quarterbacks.
OL needs to perform at a high level for us to have a chance.
I can see Smith coming in if we get two or more scores behind.
Really sucks for him if that’s true. I’ve been one of his biggest critics. But it would have been cool to see him figure it out and be flat out wrong about him
I think the bye week came at a great time for Chriss to get the most reps with the starters and to install some passing plays that Chriss can execute. All it takes is a few passes for the D to respect the pass. I need to see continued improvement from the OL.
UH’s defense may determine the outcome of this game. KS QB Jalon Daniels has thrown more interceptions this year, eight, than TDs, seven.
A second straight conference road victory would be a great way to start the second half of the season for UH.
