Game 37: Purdue vs Houston; Sweet 16 (W 62-60)

Torvik gives us a better chance to beat Purdue then we had beating Gonzaga…

Well, Gonzaga is better.

I feel the only team that can beat us is Duke. To beat Duke will probably need to get the greatest act of CKS the magician.

We need Rob Wright to be on fire :fire: tomorrow

And Norchad to go beast mode vs Duke

This is why I wanted to be I the West region.

Just wait it out i guess.

Hopefully prices will drop some by Wednesday or Thursday this week.

But if Kentucky advances to the Sweet 16. Prices gonna be crazy.

Houston, Purdue, Kentucky, Tennessee in Indianapolis. Beast of a region

That’s what I have predicted.

We win.

Wont be much cheaper if Illinois makes it. Definitely a stacked regional.

All teams that will travel there significantly better than we will. As the one seed.

No kidding they can all drive. We’d outdraw all of them 2 to 1 in San Antonio. Well other than Kentucky

Notes Purdue relies on three heavy min players.

Smith will not come out of the game and is sneaky athletic

Loyer and Smith are elite shooter but none we can’t defend.

Renn can put the ball in the basket but is primarily in the blocks and isn’t a great FT shooter.

Their bench isn’t a huge factor but they will rotate in some guys who can hit threes.

This is the typical WEAR THEM DOWN matchup for us.

Interesting that they don’t have a double digit shot blocker for the SEASON. J’Wan can make is presence known in the blocks and another game Jojo and Javier can get rolling with the hustle plays. TA and maybe Wilson would lead their team in blocks.

it would be a lot more concerning if we weren’t already 15-0 away from fertitta center since the calendar flipped to 2025 and outside of maybe the vols, i don’t think any of the teams we could play up there would be a bad matchup for us like duke and florida would be if all goes well

Is it cheaper to buy a ticket now off of seatgeek or Ticketmaster?

Or gamble and wait until the day of the event for the last game of the final four?

We need to get more from TA at some point. He was a complete non-factor tonight. I realize he’s still having issues with the Achilles, but his length and ability to score one on one will be needed eventually when our guards aren’t hitting 50% from 3.

I think if the Zags had gotten that 5 seed and Clemson the 8 seed we would have met them in the sweet 16 instead of the second round. They were stupidly underseeded

That would be great and I’m 100% rooting for TA. It really would be welcomed if it were to ocurr.

On the other hand, are we really *expecting" that to change at this point in the season?

I’m thinking if we actually do “need” that as you described, then we might be in trouble.

I am glad we faced the Zags with one day to prepare. If the Zags had all week to prepare…I am not sure we advance.

Gonzaga is the real deal.

If you plan on attending the E8, buy tickets now.

Price for those will not go down. If coogs lose, purdue fans will inflate the price. Same goes for the tennessee/kentucky fans.
