Game 24: Baylor @ #6 Houston (W 76-65)

I guess he can do like Framer and wear extensions if he gets tired of the new look.

I hate for any player to get injured, even if they are on a hated rival.

Will, i think you need to study the Brackets little more or how they work.
7 of 8 remaining gms are in Line to be Q1 gm. Not much penalty there.

Kansas has lost 5 !!! BIG12 gms n on the 2 of 3 Bracktologist that I follow they are still a 3 Seed. Coogs have 1 Loss!!

So for the Coogs if they were to say go 4-4 to end the season they will be at worse case 5 seed but prob still 3 or 4 seed.

This ain’t No American Athletic Conference any more Brother-- CKS Voice . That ship has sailed.
Hope that helps.

I already know Francis is about to go on a historical run into March with that new cut

Do you think he’s going to set the record for fouling out? Let’s hope we can get more than 15 minutes out of him in each game.

How many times has he fouled out this year?

Maybe allow the kid to have a bad game.

He has fouled out in a few, but almost always seems to be in foul trouble as does Tugler. He contributes more than his share of fouls to put the other team in the bonus. He’s not a kid anymore and needs to step it up. Against Colorado, he had 4 fouls in 3:37. Coach told Tugler not to foul out or he would have to put Francis in and he didn’t want to. He said it in an interview posted on this or TOS.

CKS doesn’t coddle his players and calls it straight. I don’t see why we have to treat them like delicate flowers. I find it odd that a 21 or 22 year old sports figure is considered a kid, yet a 18 year old soldier is considered a grown man and is subject to being held accountable for a split second decision in a hostile situation.

Good grief

BTW, he’s fouled out of exactly ZERO games

Since you didn’t bother to look at the stats, I did, and he hasn’t fouled out of a single game this year. “Quite a few” is quite BS.

He’s “been in foul trouble” four times, which seems a bit less often than always.

The minutes he plays are what Sampson wants. Sorry if that 15 minutes per game doesn’t make you happy.

Nobody is treating him like a delicate flower. You’re kind of acting like he owes you something that he hasn’t delivered.

He had a bad game and I’m certain he knows that. He’s important to this team’s success, but that doesn’t mean he has to meet your minutes demands. Jeez.

You can tell that I’ll be here is very cognizant of trying not to foul unless it’s a good foul. I saw that yesterday in one of the fouls he had. Overall, I have always been impressed with CKS understands the pulse of this team! I like how he said that they really needed to focus on defense more going into the Colorado game. He knows that’s the foundation of how he builds a team and that is so important going into the rest of the season.

Just watched the Ojianwuna injury. Was curious when in the game it happened

Happened early 1st half. 16 minute mark.

Rolling to rim, off P&R. He was a little off balance when he received a pass, left knee buckled.

So, Baylor played the majority of UCF game, without their center.

Their 3 “bigs”:
*Norchad Omier
*Jalen Celestine(stretch 4)
*Jason Asemota (true freshman)- doesn’t get alot of minutes

Gonna rely heavily on their guards: Jeremy Roach, Rob Wright, VJ Edgecombe, Jayden Nunn & Langston Love

Baylor, 3rd in the Big12 in made 3pts. (207) total on the season.

Agree 100%. This idea that “he (Francis) has fouled out in several games” is easy to be disproven as others have done.

To me, it is the kind of mistaken perception that seems to get latched on by a segment in a fanbase as a mistaken or stretched narrative
but realistically is not accurate (at best, it ends up being quite misleading, but can be completely wrong too).

Yes, Francis can pick up some quick fouls. As can Tugler to name another. Sometimes Roberts too. And foul-trouble can be a concern especially when we lose a big (5 fouls available each game) for the season (McFarland).

But playing aggressively is something that sets us apart from many teams. Trying to alter or block every shot, diving for every loose ball, fighting like hell for a rebound, etc is going to result in some fouls. I’ll take it that way while still hoping to find a good working balance there. Mostly, it is working for us.

And imo, its not pampering the player to show support (and applaud him) for such aggressive play. Sure it’s a balancing act
again, I’ll take it as is, accepting that in any given game, it might not go our way ideally.

Agree with the aggressive part but too many of our fouls are just silly and uncalled for.
I think Tug and Francis let opposing players get in their head much too often.
