NIU sure, UC-Davis, the mountain west is watering itself down imo; used to be just outside power conferences, american was distant to them; nort so much anymore.

No surpriseâŠTexas schools UTSA and Texas State are hoping PAC comes calling. PAC at 6 and needs 2 more. MWC? Grand canyon and Cal Davis? wow thats not good.
The Pac is at 7 full members. They only need 1 more to be compliant
The American was viewed as the stronger conference.

NO. My nephew keeps me apprised of everything his school is doing, and they want IN the new PAC, as rep from Texas. It is possible they turned down the MWC, as bad as that league is doing. I will askâŠ

YES. Utah State is the 7th member. They will take one more for sure, possibly 2 or 3 more, depending on who they might want.
I hope that they donât get into the PAC.
The question is, will new PAC be allowed to remain a power conference, or will they be a G5? I think they must be a G5 with only 2 old PAC members. But weâll see.

No. Thereâs zero chance theyâll be considered P4 conference.

The PAC already got removed from the list of autonomy conferences in the NCAA by laws when it dropped to two teams.
That became effective in August.
So no. The PAC is not and will not be considered a âpowerâ conference, to answer your question.

While the new PAC Light will not be a power conference, it will probably be the top G6 conference.
The big question is what kind of TV deal they will get.
My guess is that itâll be well under the P4 but bigger than other G6s.

There are no Autonomy Conferences.
The Five highest ranked conference champion get an automatic bid in the playoff.
Not.likeky, but technically the automatic bids can go to the champion of more than 1 G6 champion

No. The autonomy conferences are referring to the Division 1 conferences who carry nore weight than the others when it comes to making new rules and changes to old ones.
SEC, Big 10, Big 12 and ACC are the 4 Heavenly Kings when it comes to that.
