Fritz says multiple players who transferred have asked about coming back

Sorry no takebacks after you play 4 games at another school.

I would guess MHP/Banks

That is the way to do it. Take the opponent’s money and come back home to spend it. Nice job!

Look for some LSU guys coming in.

UH’s Traville Frederick -
1st FB player to turn down LSU for Tulane since Roydell Williams (baseball related)
A few WF just missed on headed 2 portal.

Semi OT.
Roydell still Cusa leader in career receiving TDs.
That was vs CUSA w a bunch of now G5 teams.

Second the MHP/Banks theory. This got me thinking on who Willie’s referring to. He may be talking about guys who are G5/JUCO, but why would we care about guys that moved down in competition? Here’s the list of guys that moved to another P5 program, position, current classification and games played(not listed for OL, ESPN doesn’t track their games played).

Isaiah Hamilton - Ole Miss - CB - SR - 9
Tyler Johnson - CU - SR
Reuben Unije - UCLA - SR
Hakeem Ajijolaiya - TCU - SR - 5
Jamaree Caldwell - Oregon - SR - 11
Chidoze Nwankwo - CU - SR - 10
Sam Brown - Miami - JR - 11
Matthew Golden - UT - JR - 12
Mika Harrison-Pilot - TTU - FR - 1

From what i remember MHP was kind of pushed out when new Coaching staff ( after meeting w them) came in .

Tyler Johnson is no longer listed on the CU roster, and Rueben Unije played in EXACTLY 4 games at UCLA this fall. Unije not one I would take back under any circumstances.

So his dad says… part of me has a hard time thinking a coach would come in a push a 4⭐️, legacy athlete out the door. Especially when we were losing players right and left to the transfer portal last year.

He would have some awful holding penalties

I don’t know what to think about this. Is there a rule, is it pride, spite, would the player help/hurt the team.

Players coming and going is a free agent minor league and has little relations to what used to college football.

Can’t see WF/ staff not taking immediate 2 deep guys asking in.
Not practical in UHs situation.

Does WF mean they know the TP guys already.
That year of eligibility gone leaves them out of the plan ?

Old Eagle eye watched UH special teams.
He knows the upside of the depth vs TP guys coming back.

If Tulane HC is one and done.
Could see a few more WF guys.
UH roster / depth opened up now.
A mostly DH recruited offensive 2 deep gone(ish)

If they’re good then there’s always a spot.

D’eriq King?

MHP only played one game at Tech so maybe there’s a chance haha jk but if he was pushed out by UH staff, doubt he was one of them asking to come back, unless Shiel Woods thought he couldn’t play safety and now he’s at Tech

Simple decision tree:

Does the player want to come to UH?
Yes
Does the player have the grades to get in?
Yes
Is the player better than your projected starter?
Yes
Please sign the transfer paperwork.

Man, I read these posts and truly wonder about what/why/who/how a kid transfers to another school. Yeah, say money, that’s always the stock answer–yet I look at a program like CKS’s who has had like 2 transfers (not sure of number) in like 10 years. Why? Mrs. CWS does make great cookies but is that enough to hold a player? I figure most of these kids want a shot at the NBA and UH is the best place for that. Our kids must be really weird, they seem to be thinking ahead toward the future and what happens when their college career ends. If they get NIL money here, that’s a humongous +. Strange, seems like when a player leaves CWS program, he disappears forever.

You guys are just throwing names at the wall just to be the I told you first poster.

Not really. There’s a finite list of guys it could be.

Not if they portaled out….hell no.

That sends a horrible message to the guys that have stayed and worked their tails off for THIS program.
