im not sure how much he can improve his off the dribble game, but if he can he likely has the highest potential as a scorer among an UH player in like 20 years (even more that rob who i think is #1)
Man, this has me hyped! Emmanuel and LJ are going to be raining 3s this year!
Tyson has the record for three’s in a game.
I’d argue he was the best three point shooter under Sampson.
I hope sharp breaks that record.
I think $harp could hit 10 in a game…
Sure when left open but also need to include the ability to get and make the shot against this level of defense. He was a great shooter but Brooks and Sasser beat the defense in front of them to make shots, as did Grimes and Corey Davis .
Sharpe will be that guy too as well as Cryer and TA.
Emanuel sometimes looked really good on defense, you can tell he was a coaches kid
We are specifically talking about the best three point shooter in the Sampson era.
That would be Tyson.
Sharp has a chance to take the crown and I hope he does.
I disagree but that’s okay. Elvin should be in there as well if we are counting the ability to play horse.
Disagree about Emmanuel or Tyson?
I’ve heard sasser say that Elvin can really shoot it. His sample size is so small. It’s hard to tell.
No doubt we’ve been blessed with great shooters.
I watch highlights of those 18/19/20/21 teams….
Armoni, Grimes, Sasser, Corey, Rob.
We have had some talent.
Even though Tyson can shoot he doesn’t go in the same category as the others mentioned in my book because we are talking about players who can do it against the best D1 defenses.
He doesn’t go in the same category. Not even close IMHO. He couldn’t hold any of the other players jock strap for lack of a better term.
But we were only talking about three point shooting.
Just a difference in spotting up over one who can shoot against defense so I am still going with the others
His dribble game/slashing going towards the basket needs a lot of work. He’s more of a 2 to 3 dribble and pulled up.
I think Cryer will have a huge season for UH. I love his game. If he can improved on his play making he may declare to the draft.
I agree!!! I still remember that Tulane game.
I’m super excited for Year 2 Emmanuel Sharp.
