Did we???
No.
Former Coogs that transferred out, Matthew Golden (UT) & Jamaree Caldwell (Oregon), did. If you wanna make any Coog connection to draftees.
Its a bit disappointing actually - in the past few years - we’ve finally been able to get at least a couple of guys drafted each year - some years better than others - but were at least not putting up goose eggs in the draft … I would have hoped after our second campaign in the Big 12 we’d have 1 or 2 drafted … not the end of the world but hope we get back on the board next year.
Nope. This year’s team was that bad.
No and not sure why anyone is surprised, unless you did not watch the games. The team was not good. The fact that we won 4 games was a miracle.
Yeah, Willie stole 2 to 3 games.
Smith get picked up anywhere?
Houston, Baylor, and BYU didn’t get anyone drafted. Utah’s only guy drafted played basketball at BYU and Baylor. Disappointing for the big 12
Ever hear of ESPN? Google?
The defense was pretty good.
The offense……….
Lol.
Keith Cooper was probably the best draft eligble player and he did get a camp invite to a team.
TE Maliq Carr has been invited to the Philadelphia Eagles mini camp.
But he lost most of them.
Looks like Batton got invites to two camps.
Iowa State was hoping to get 5, maybe even 6. Instead, all four players drafted in the top 4 rounds is a pretty good sign.
Our team returns about as close to intact as one can realistically hope, too. Good times.
First four rounds in 2025:
10 - Ohio State,
8 - Georgia, Texas
6 - Oregon, Ole Miss
5 - Michigan, Alabama, South Carolina
4 - LSU, Tennessee, Iowa St,
3 - Texas A&M, Penn State, Notre Dame, Cal, Louisville
Thinking NIL changes this over time.
Just those mentioned above so far.
UDFA
Keith Cooper, Detroit
Mini Camp
Batton, Bears and Lions.
Carr, Houston, Eagles.
Hope 1 steps up & Batton is an UDFA .
