Dalton Carnes

Great write-up about him. He definitely should be on scholarship next semester.

Here in the Greater Houston area, we should have the most robust walkon pipeline in America.

Like Nebraska in the 1980s-2000s.

They were able to give a lot of those walk-ons “financial aid” and “leaderhsip scholarships” aka the D2 and D3 way.

I hope some Coogfan sends him a framed picture of him escaping that longhorn back in the last game. The DB who was shown laying on the ground in the dust ! LOL!

Coogs have always been a blue collar school with kids who had a lot of heart. You don’t need 5 star athletes to be successful. I’ll take a kid anyway day of the week who is out to prove something with hard work and effort.
Looking forward to watching him for years to come.

It’s a good story. I’m rooting for him. With Golden, Manjack, Brown and Johnson ahead of him and likely returning, + MHP and Wilson coming along - keeping the playing time he has earned won’t be easy.

If he does eventually leave he will have enough resume material to land a role on another D1 team.

“ “That was an unbelievable moment for Dalton,” Shorts said. “That kid works his tail off. He’s a guy we feel comfortable putting at any position, and he’s going to line up right and do the job at a high level.”

My new fave Coog.

Give ‘em hell, Mr. Carnes.
