So he took his pitching staff from 3.63 to 5.65 in his two years?
At what point would you have expected the curve to get back down into the sub-4 level?
He’s a perfect hire because it depends on Pez logic - if he just has resources and time, then he’ll surely produce better results than before. Here’s 3 years - get ‘er done!
Truth of the matter is we were lucky to have Anderson in the first place. He was here because his daughter lives in Katy. Once his grandchild graduated HS, he took the Tennessee job. My guess is he was offered better jobs every year he was here.
There is no way we are going to get a pitching coach with so much skin in the game, like Anderson. It is just not going to happen. We don’t pay enough and the coach doesn’t have enough pull to make that happen. You may get lucky once, but not twice. Would I like him to have more experience in recruiting the Big 12 area? Yes, but he has been at some good programs. Bunn sucked at MTSU and still weaseled his way into getting hired by Whitting.
I figured after snubbing the kid in the conference tournament he would be “Audi 5000”.

I’ve just accepted that it’s going to be a few years till Coog Baseball is even on the AD’s docket. They have got to get the Football Program fixed it’s priority #1…too much money revolves around it
