Daily Cougar: Pezman on why Whiting is getting a new contract

So he took his pitching staff from 3.63 to 5.65 in his two years?

At what point would you have expected the curve to get back down into the sub-4 level?

He’s a perfect hire because it depends on Pez logic - if he just has resources and time, then he’ll surely produce better results than before. Here’s 3 years - get ‘er done!

I’ve concluded the process is designed to give Yez a breather.

And don’t forget this guy has no connections to the state or the city….he is not going to recruit anyone.

Pollard being in the hospital receiving medication gave me a great idea. I just went on CallonDoc.com and told them I broke both femurs.

@800 milligrams of codeine every two hours has me thinking maybe we did get in the regionals the last four years.

Dilaudid every two hours or so….not sure what I’m typing….I’m watching soccer.

Don’t worry. When you wake up we’ll tell you what happened.

Get well Pollard!!

Truth of the matter is we were lucky to have Anderson in the first place. He was here because his daughter lives in Katy. Once his grandchild graduated HS, he took the Tennessee job. My guess is he was offered better jobs every year he was here.

Valid point for Trip.

There is no way we are going to get a pitching coach with so much skin in the game, like Anderson. It is just not going to happen. We don’t pay enough and the coach doesn’t have enough pull to make that happen. You may get lucky once, but not twice. Would I like him to have more experience in recruiting the Big 12 area? Yes, but he has been at some good programs. Bunn sucked at MTSU and still weaseled his way into getting hired by Whitting.

No one expects another Anderson. He’s not the bar.

But we could do a good deal worse than him and still improve what we’ve seen.

I saw a mention somewhere of Malachi Lott 2 SAM but no link yet.

The baseball portal a mystery only at UH. Portal has formal paperwork. Give Duarte, etc a list.

There was a time where Indiana baseball players would want to transfer to UH to play, not vice versa.

SAM baseball looking up. CUSA baseball looks pretty good.
AAC should take Dallas-Baptist from them.

I figured after snubbing the kid in the conference tournament he would be “Audi 5000”.

I’ve just accepted that it’s going to be a few years till Coog Baseball is even on the AD’s docket. They have got to get the Football Program fixed it’s priority #1…too much money revolves around it
