Clayton Tune & Tank Dell

Anyone have any updates Tune or Dell in training camps?

Tank Dell
I have seen and heard plenty of good things about Tank Dell. He 's doing what he did for UH for the Texans. He still has some NFL learning to do, but looks like Tank Dell in a Texans uniform.

Clayton Tune
Colt McCoy is the starting QB until Kyler Murray heals from his ACL surgery. In the meantime Clayton Tune is taking the QB2 reps in the Arizona Cardinals training camp. This is important because he’s getting these reps in front of QBs Driskell and Blough. This could always change. But if he continues he could be their QB3 behind Murray and McCoy.

DaMeco has spoke highly of Tank. Says he has some ways to go but he’s having a great camp

Tune still has a chance to be QB1 should Colt not showout

It’s possible I could actually care about the NFL again if Coogs keep making it into the pro’s.
Wish them the very best. They represented U of H with class.

Blough started 2x in 2022. Tune already ahead.

McCoy w a bad elbow from last season. Running plays w 1st team but not throwing all the time. Colt a scrapper but full time w that style ? Tune plays early.

Josh Jones w a big raise.
“qualified for the league’s proven performance escalator”

AZ Cardinals OL Josh Jones gets nearly $1.5M raise from salary escalator.

Colt McCoy is still in the NFL? Dang! How desperate for a QB you have to be to have Colt as one of your QB’s?

Colt is like Case Keenum. They are quintessential backup QBs. They 100% study playbook and video like they’re the starting QB in every game.

When they come into a game as relief, they’re ready.

That said Case has definitely not gone through the injuries that Colt has.

Clayton was not aware of the signing & saw David Anenih enter the team meal line late last week! He did a double take & walked up to him and said David? It was him! So cool to have 3 former Coogs (Josh Jones/OL) together on the same NFL roster. No doubt Dana will increase the Coog population in the League going forward!! Watch out Bama & GA here we come!!

Keenum is better than McCoy.

Tank doing very very well.

Tune not doing so hot, but cardinals training camp reports saying none of the QBs are looking impressive, Murray still not practicing (injury).

Side note, D’Anthony Jones is playing really solid without pads, if he can play the same with pads he’ll make the roster.

Way better

I miss David. Derek absolutely loved playing with him. I thought they anchored the edge well together.

" It says plenty that on the first day with pads, Tune was playing with the first-team offense vs. the first-team defense during full-team drills."

Where did you get about Tune not doing so hot?

Agree

I’ve heard mostly nothing but positives about Tune. He could be QB1 come week 1 if he continues performing great at camp

For the record MCK, you are spreading fake/false info re Clayton. He is tearing it up so far & already has a “Tune Squad” following lobbying for him to be the day 1 starter. He had 1 practice where he did not have his best completion % day (no INTs) but all the rest he has shined. Since few are likely keeping up on a daily basis, I felt the need set the record straight. Please do your homework before making public comments.

I love Dell but he needs to work on his hardship story. Complaining about having to sleep on twin sized beds is not drawing many tears

Still upset that the Saints didn’t draft Tune. Would have loved to see him in the black and gold. I’m confident he will be an NFL starter sooner than later.
