This year, that’s not in effect.
Only the Big 12 champ is guaranteed a bid this year.
As for a 2nd round bye, that’ll likely be the Big 12 champ IF UNLV wins the MWC.
But it could be Boise if Boise wins out.

The biggest no call I saw was when GT had that huge drive at the end of third quarter into the fourth. GT qb was sacked on a solid play but the Georgia sacker looked like he used the GT qb’s face mask to get up. Replays showed it clearly. SEC announcers giggled about it. Very clearly dirty and after the play. Had to settle for a FG. A auto first down bleeds more clock and would’ve set up first and goal.
