UT has not had the best recruiting classes for decades. They had the #6 class last year, the #3 class the year before, the #5 class in ‘22, the #15 class in ‘21, and the #9 class in 2020. They have been one of the final four teams in the CFP two years running. Obviously you hate the University of Texas, and that’s fine. But it’s absurd to say they’ve underachieved the past two years.

They’re in the top three in revenue every year. Fact. If they’re not in the championship game every year Then they under achieved. Both of those schools have done everything in their power to hold down the university of Houston anybody on this board that supports the university of Texas is no friend of the Cougars And are not a true fan.F them and A&M.

My disdain for UT. Simple anytime another Texas college gets going or starts to be UT easily SMU & UH 80s. A&M in the 90s, Baylor and Tech in the 2010s. That schools finds itself on probation or loses their head coach like Baylor and Tech. As a college football fan UT has done the same cover up of paying players and their crimes as other colleges. Just always find it suspicious this always happens to Texas colleges not name UT.

When you win 12 games and the Big 12, get to the four-team CFP, and finish #3; and then the next year you win 13 games playing in the SEC, lose the SEC championship game in overtime, and make the final four of the CFP again (25 wins in two years), yeah, you’re pretty much a powerhouse program.

All big boy schools have this in common: They have insufferable fan bases who are delusional about their team’s future. The Cotton Bowl was essentially an insufferable fan base convention.

Even UH has its insufferable, delusional fans; just not in the number of the big boys.

Caping for Baylor when they * checks notes * covered up multiple sexual assaults and Title IX investigations or Tech when they * checks notes again * had a coach that abused a player just to hate on UT is certainly a choice. Can’t believe the Longhorns made Baylor and Leach do all that bad stuff!! Crazy

It was always fun seeing Shasta brought on to the field in the Dome back in the sixties. She seemed to enjoy it

We’d all like that failure.

We all rightly hate Texas for a lot of perfectly justified things. But I think calling them the kings of the underachievers really sells Aggie short basically right there in everything Texas does, but doesn’t sniff anywhere close to success. I mean no conference wins this century, no natty since 38? That’s underachievement at an epic level.

You can look at this data two ways. One, Texas really doesn’t get the best players or Two, Texas doesn’t develop the raw recruits. I guess there is a possible third explanation which is that Texas gets the top recruits that have no sand and when they go up against players of equal ability (like in the CFP or NFL training camps) they fold like laundry. Yeah sure that team in their sissy white unis and uterus on their heads can beat UTSA but Ohio State
no chance.

Debate amongst yourselves but we will allow irrational hatred towards the Horns and the Aggies because it is fun to do so.
