Can’t it be a mix of that. Best times for student section and other times the players.
as a procucer of a telecast. you want the students (*if the student section is packed)… its social proof that you are watching an exciting game, and adds to the story… in contrast to luxury seats from folks wo barely attend every game, if you ar watching empty seats or people barely active in the stands it feels less exciting… fans add more to the broadcast than watching the coach (that you cant see)
duke the #1 tv team, their cameras focus on the fan side, not the coaches …
also i think you are making this a general problem when its a problem unique to us. its our arena set out…
most arenas have general admission behind the staffs, you get the social proof without having to sacrifice potential coaching interactions.
ours is unique in that we have luxury donor seats taking up all the space behind the coachs…its an either or with us, for most it is not
ps our old AD already admitted it was a problem and that the issue is just that its too expensive to fix. that is atleast 1 mill to fix and that we cant justify, that it would have already been done if it was cheaper
interesting the people who built our arena also built Baylor and both had camera angle issues
Even though it is the Agy, this exhibition means nothing in terms of bragging rights or rankings
Exactly. It’s a glorified scrimmage. Plus, our starting center is out and our starting PG is wearing mask while recovering from a broken nose.
For you junkies Arizona State playing their exhibition against Duke right on ACCN
Right. It’s not about bragging rights. Beating the Aggies is about doing the right thing for America.
Colorado losses to Texas 79-75
A lot of people have Texas as a top 25 team and Colorado is usually in the 11-13 range in the Big 12.
Cameras should always show the student body. Who cares about the players or the coaches. We are all watching games, not to see the teams play, but to watch the students . . . . .
arizona state was a sleeper for me… but i think i have to reconsider… they dont have any shooters
So just switch the players’ seating to the student side.
Is Tech playing an exhibition game?
One of the Texas Tech boards said they beat Dayton by 9. No idea if that is accurate or official news.
And he’s spawning offspring:
6’5 Fr. 4-star SG Nojus Indrusaitis from Chicago. His heritage is Lithuanian (Momcilovic’s family is Serbian)
NH Gatorade POY at the illustrious Brewster Academy.
And the scoring table, buzzer operator, head official, and anyone that is currently on the students sideline. Now we have the front row or two of the student area be blocked by the team and all of the assistants, visiting recruits and their parents and all of the electrical access and equipment that needs to be moved. Simple and no problem.
I wasn’t taken it that serious but there are already tables and media sitting in front of the students.
Tech’s a team that could end up having some really good outside shooters. I think they’ll be better than last year.
