Bryce is by far my favorite national park in Utah. Not even close.
My brother has golden retrievers and they are fantastic. I have Australian shepherds. They are working dogs for me though. Fantastic little animals.

Obviously there’s a lot of discrepancy on what people call Gold. Also find it interesting some schools cite what I could consider their 2nd color to be first.
Also interesting Arizona also uses Cardinal like Iowa State does. Their red uniforms are obviously a different shade than Iowa State’s.
I can’t speak for the other schools, I know that ISU is very particular on our shade of red being Cardinal and refer to it as such. Nobody calls it red internally. Externally, people usually call maroon or red, and that’s fine. I get it.
Just thought it’d be interesting to share this since it came up and it always sticks out to me because it’s ingrained in us never to call it red and yellow. Not complaining tho, you can call it whatever you want, obviously.
As cool as the parks are, my favorite parts aren’t the national parks.
Definitely worth a couple year layover if nothing else.
BYU would specify on their blue if you were to ask a BYU fan. But we do use multiple shades.
Right, if you go back historically it changed a few times to specific shades. My guess is they just left it blue most recently to encompass all that they use.
Bring him/her to me Kyle , I’ll train it for ya. Of course my daughter has her own Golden n I helped quite bit w initial training. She just haphazardly entered her in a Dog obedient contest in Austin n Ziggy won 1st place. They’re the best if you know how to work w them etc.
Good luck!
I watched a video recently on Idaho not having any national parks. Its obviously a very beautiful state. The claim was that its by choice because although national parks increase tourism, they severely limit how the public is able to use the land specifically, and Idahoans have chosen to keep it that way because it’s a net benefit economically to be able to use it for private and public interests that national parks wouldnt allow. Kind of interesting.
I’ve trained a few retrievers in my day but will take any pointers you have…
You’re close to kicking the political ant hill rez… trust me you don’t want those bites…
Haha well I live in Iowa so that would be firmly in my comfort zone
On our CF, political threads are about 50% of traffic. It’s terrible. We call it the Cave. People never stop. It’s unhealthy.
Moderators spend most of their energy trying to keep it contained to the Cave because people bring politics into eeeeeverything.
Maybe yet another reason we are alike then lol!
I went to college in Idaho, the Saw Tooth mountains could certainly be a national park.
Edit: Shoshone falls might be the most impressive waterfall in the west. Super fun to kayak that area. I believe it’s owned by native Americans, but I bet it’d be a national monument if nothing else. 1000 springs (iirc that is what it’s called) and craters of the moon are better areas than Great Basin in Nevada
The new owner canceled all politics here… for the better imo
100% support that.
KSU is on a heater.
Yep. Clearly Tang heard my criticism
We went to Rocky Mountain NP 2 years ago. Absolutely loved it. Stayed in Estes Park.
But it was CRAZY how crowded it was. Probably would have been more secluded in downtown Denver.
I didn’t mind the crowds so much personally because I knew me and my wife could outrun at least somebody in our immediate vicinity, which at least made me feel better even though it probably didn’t matter lol. NOT used to being in Bear country! Nor driving mountain roads!
Probably sounds silly to you Westerners, but it’s always an adjustment and I travel quite a bit. Everyone kept saying you won’t even see a bear and we didn’t, but that didn’t help my anxiety much lol.
Iowa is a very safe state, and I’m not just talking about crime. There’s virtually no dangerous wildlife or extreme topography of any kind. Icy roads and tornadoes, sure, but that’s about it.
You people out West are very spoiled. Its like a religious experience just driving into a mountain valley. Its like my brain can’t compute how beautiful it is. Very cool.
I’m fairly certian Tang does not hear any criticism. At least not like a normal person does. And maybe that’s a good thing for his line of work.
Everything he hears is filtered however it needs to be to reinforce how great he is and how much smarter he is than everyone else. That’s just a fact.
It’s also a fact he kicked our butts and they are on a nice streak. The Dark Arts have prevailed over the forces of good
Not a new phenomenon unfortunately in my experience doing this thing. My nut cup is firmly secured coming down the home stretch here. All we can do is dig in and hope for the best.
idk which ones he has in but when all is said and done id be surprised if more than 11 got in
Oh no, theres no way.
9 teams would be fortunate and quite the achievement. There’s a hard cap on the Big 12, always is.
We’d have to have 11 teams at like no-brainer, unimpeachable, can’t even make any biased case against them whatsoever level.
