Hard fought wins! Just looking at the final scores of Kansas going woah, kind of wild. Kansas is actually a really good team. They could very easily go 4-0 down the stretch and I would not be surprised.
I personally over reacted last night calling the conference garbage over a tough call to swallow. But i swear to goodness i am muting any coogfan for life if you root for BYU to be undefeated and us be a two bid league over a Houston Cougar victory in the season finale.
Last night showed me that UH if they remain lids on fire, can and will go 3-0 to finish the season.
It’s part of the game, and there’s no excuse for a Cyclone defense to get absolutely torched in every way like we were on Saturday. It is what it is.
Sitake and BYU have earned everything they’ve gotten, and to do so after a tough first year where they were humbled and took their licks, to come back and put this season together has really shown me something. They certainly look like they will earn the right to represent the Big 12 this year. Thank you for making Utah cry even more.
Iowa State has arguably the top environment in football, basketball, and even women’s basketball in the big 12. The fans travel really well. I’ve only ever encountered kind cyclones.
As a fan base, y’all deserved to finish in the championship.
Matt Campbell seems to do everything the right way, too. I’m cheering for 10-2 for y’all, and for Colorado to slip up.
Thank you for saying that. BYU is certainly right there, too. Top notch venues and crowds.
That basketball game at the Marriot Center last year was almost certainly our only loss where we weren’t competitive from start to finish. BYU clearly outclassed ISU from start to finish. In the rematch, the Cyclones were LUCKY to come away with the win at Hilton Coliseum. Hilton Magic stole that one. BYU had it wrapped up for about 39 minutes.
As a side note on basketball, ALL of us agree BYU is our kryptonite from a matchup standpoint. I want no part of BYU basketball.
Also, most people assume Hilton Coliseum is named in connection to the hotel people in some way shape or form. It’s actually just named in honor of a University President we had back in the day. He’s not related to the hotel people.
So I did a quick google search on the Marriott Center because I wondered if that was the same case for BYU. I’m a little disappointed for no good reason to learn that we do not in fact share that in common. Lol!
Apparently BYU still currently has the tiebreaker on ISU with the common opponent, talk about cats have 9 lives. Not sure if K-State is a chip shot for ISU either. Gonna be a ton of Houston Cougar fans next week.
Buffs need a combination of two teams losing next week, their chances may be done
– Apparently due to Houston’s record ISU will get the tiebreaker with a win over KSU, hilarious!
