After the Rockets won their world championships in '95, they changed to pin-stripped clown uniforms that had a rocket with teeth.
They were never the same.
The decision of the Rockets will always baffle me.
If you win two back to back championships, I’m not sure you should change clothes or shower lest you derail your good fortune. You definitely don’t needlessly change your uniforms and colors! You do that when things are already off-track.
Regarding the Coog uniforms, though, I think there’s a tradeoff. You need to stay current for recruiting purposes, but at the same time there is brand value in our tradition and traditional look.
I dont like the throw back uniforms. An updated MODERNIZED version would be great but that curvy line on the shorts suck alot of a$$.
As for Adidas vs Nike, I’m for Adidas mostly because it takes a mans steak eating diet into consideration. 
The Rockets had a new owner at that time though and he wanted to sell a bunch of new merchandise.
You know who moves merchandise? Champions! Don’t do anything that might mess with the “Champions!” part.
Worst uniform of all time? NC State’s unitard.
