Amazing how quickly the wrong coach can destroy a program.
The north end zone was virtually empty. I would estimate 60-70% capacity overall. Still a great crowd and noisy at times. Beautiful venue.
What’s garbage is our fan base. 30 years since we’ve played Baylor that stole a coach and our spot and we won’t drive 2 and half hours up highway 6 to watch it on a perfect day.
Seen lots of Coogs there. Bartenders told us only Tech had shown up better than us this season. We had great time, awesome layout the have with the bridges and tailgate
Their home side had fans. The end Ine and visitor side were pretty sparse. I was surprised ESPN showed the empty stands as much as they did.
Hot as hell in the sun. Lots in the corridors
There were over 41k in a stadium that holds 50k yesterday. They’re having a worse season than ours but their attendance avg is still more than our stadium. We should worry about our program. Baylor still has a beautiful facility.
Waco is a beautiful city.
We moved out of the sun to the other side. There was no issue finding room for our group of 7 to sit together. Considering the open seats still around us would estimate everyone left on the other side.could fill in so would approximate 50% of capacity was occupied.
Above pic was taken in middle of Q2.
Both programs are unhappy and it shows in attendance.
I thought attendance was good for “The Pillowfight On The Brazos”.
Baylor fans were pleasant and it was a nice trip.
Unlike our parking garage, we were able to leave quickly. We were back in Mo City in 2 hours 30 minutes after starting the car.
Good Lord! That is undeniably worse than our attendance. That’s USF-level awful if that’s the second quarter. And they don’t have construction on the feeder to blame. Makes you actually feel bad for their AD.
Doh!!!
You know there weren’t 41k there yesterday
No team can withstand bad play. It will always be an attendance killer. Vanderbilt is in the sec and they have the same problem. It is what it is. People acting like it’s some UH thing is silly
We should be the dead last fan base to talk about attendance anywhere. We have a really good basketball program and probably 50% ppl will show up on Monday and I am sure we will hear good for nothing excuses. All that matters is the outcome, you can keep those excuses.
The attendance was bad, but the thing I care about is that despite that, they still put on a hell of a show. The student section was all the way into it. The band was loud. The environment was fun. It was a great experience, and I’d have no hesitation about going back to McLane for a game in the future, even if UH weren’t involved.
I will too. Especially now that I know where the shade is.
41,000?
