reading this court paper the leason to be learned is to have a lawyer present when you talk to police… the entire case against him is rom his own testimony of saying it was his gun and that he gave possession of it to his friend, which happened right before the shooting… the court papers literally says “self incrimination”
when if i had to guess he “probably” said something like - the boyfriend was threatening us, my friend asked for my gun and i was scared so i gave it him… or something like that…and that cops were like thats all wee needed…
miles seems to have hired a big time law firm, capital muder has a minimum 10 year sentence… his lawyer is claiming his innocence and will fight it in court… depending on what he said he might have a decent case especially with a big lawyer but will be interesting how it plays out… capitol murder has no bail so he is likely in prison for a year at least if this goes to trial
