Absolutely crazy story
Wow. FYI did not play against us.
That’s crazy.
Talk about a recruiting mistake
just googling the story, will be really interesting to see who shot the gun, and who fired first
from what ive googled, miles and a friend had a minor argument with a random couple they met at the strip… its confirmed that both parties shot at each other … with miles group hitting the passenger (of the other car)… the shooter of the car with the deceased victim is claiming self defense and they fired first … actually hit miles friend
the big question not yet released is if miles was the shooter in his group, if there is a means to confirm who shot first (witness or cam)… those 2 details are going to be the difference freedom and likely life in prison… whoever wasn’t the shooter has a decent chance with a good lawyer since it wasn’t pre-meditated

I’m not an attorney but if they were charged with capital murder, there must be some damning evidence. They’re definitely going to need good representation
agreed, there is supposedly some video evidence but everything happened last night, the charges were before any interviews… the odds arent looking great for him, but it could also be a ploy to get whoever wasnt the shooter to cooperate with the investigation and testity against the other for a plea… from the reports there was only 1 shooter on miles side, charging both with murder in a unpremeditated murder where no other crime was occurring seems odds …whoever wasnt the shooter of the 2 has a chance… but will definitely need good representation
If he appeals, do you think we can get him in the portal?
I forgot, Jackson was an nba player, so of course he would win.
Section 102 - I doubt CKS will want him even if he’s innocent & freed.
Hung out with the wrong crowd.
But I would love to have him.
You must be kidding.
Plus, the poster you responded to was being sarcastic.
seems like he was hanging with the right crowd
I don’t care what happens in this case, per se, other than justice. just feel blessed we don’t have those issues. That’s the kind of emotional and psychological distraction that affects dozens of people.
Birmingham Times quotes the mother of the victim, “took my baby’s life because she wouldn’t talk to him.”
So, sounds like the ballplayer and his friend were hitting on a woman who was with her boyfriend.
According to what I gathered from the Bama boards, he was hanging with one of his buddies from back home in DC who came to visit him in Bama. Both of them are now sitting in jail.
One of the main things coaches tell players is to leave the bad influences from back home behind.
