Aziz Olajuwon

Class of 2026 recruit. Doing well at Clements. I wonder if we will offer or at least do PWO.

PWO?

Thank you very much for posting, outstanding post. I want to see more. He is already technically sound. Can’t wait to see more.

Awesome. Hope we can bring him on in some capacity. I guess Hakeem still lives over off 90 in sugar land

Preferred Walk On.

His nephew (2027) is playing at EHS. He attends thoae games, too.

I mean, we haveto offer as a Legacy right?

If he is okay coming in here playing a Ryan Elvin role and living under the shadow of his father’s name and constantly being compared as not being as good.
If he is good with all that then I would love to bring him here and have Dream at our games.

I think it would be very difficult to walk on at Houston and live through Sampson’s practices and program. Unless you have a burning desire to coach like Elvin has, the Sampson grind would be too much. You would go through the toughest program in the country for four years and only see the last minimum of blowouts. Then when you come from luxury like Aziz does…why would you do it.

Wow! Not the endorsement I want from our basketball program. Lol.

I do not understand a word of what you just wrote. Every picture, basket, team mates reaction tells me that Aziz is all in in his craft. You can already tell he loves the game. Will he be good enough only the man upstairs know.
Again, thank you for posting the video. I absolutely love it.

Have you not seen how intense Hakeem’s training camps are?

He grew up with Hakeem as a dad, did you ever see Hakeem play? He’d slap you silly if you crossed him.

Sampson’s program is like joining the Marines. It isn’t a hard practice it is a never ending grind to get better and better. If you don’t want that you don’t come here. You come here because he can develop you into a professional basketball player but it ain’t going to be easy.

As a walk on you are going to get your azz kicked for very little playing time. Elvin did it because he wants to coach.

If you want to play basketball and get an education there are easier places to go. You come here because Sampson sees something and you will become a professional player (maybe not in the NBA but somewhere).

I still do not understand your point. What makes you think that Aziz could not handle it? What I saw in these pictures is a student of the game wanting to win and excel. Our program, his Dad’s program would be perfect for him especially at his position.

Because the kid could get a scholarship somewhere and get playing time. There is only one reason to come here, you desperately want to be the best you can be. This is the most intensive lab in college basketball. You don’t walk on at Houston unless you desperately want to be a coach.

How do you know he won’t get a scholarship? How do you know he does not want to play for his Dad’s school? Please do not make assumption. Time will tell.

I remember one Sampson’s early UH teams, we had Drexler’s kid on non-scholarship.
