Has his commitment been noted? Missouri City.
Shifty runner with a very good arm. I think my son told me that the coach said Austin runs a legit 10.5. So yeah he is pretty dang fast and not afraid to work in the weight room. He is much thicker now than last year
Lfg
BOOM! Welcome to the Coog family Austin.
Excellent!
He’s been offered, but I don’t think he’s committed yet. But I like the way you think.
247 says that he committed today (5/18). They have him as a hard commit to UH now.
SWEET!!!
Wish we would get in on the Smith twins and Dane. I think all 3,have been offered by Pitt and BC recently.
Just texted his dad. He said Fritz has been recruiting him since he was a freshman. It was a perfect fit for Austin. Dad was a RB at Midwestern back in the day
Missouri City produces some freakish athletes
So does Cypress!!!
Welcome Mr. Carlyle. The best is yet to come. Looking forward to seeing you make some game winning plays for UH.
I’ve seen him play at Ridge Point. He is a very good athlete for his size but I do think he might end up being a WR or RB in college. Ridge Point had a QB lined in place a couple of years ago but he ended up transferring to Episcopal (and is now going to UCLA in football/track). Carlyle stepped in right after Karson Gordon transferred and they didn’t miss a beat. They had great receivers last year (one going to A&M, one to Baylor, and the best of the three I think was their junior).
Agreed!!!
The Smith twins are going to be juniors. Their dad is Robaire Smith, ex-Texan DL and a Michigan State alum. I’d think that they’d be heavily recruited by Big 10 teams, but maybe not. They are going to be really good prospects.
Their cousin could be decent too. Travis Johnson II. Also a junior, but he’s at Episcopal. His dad was also a DL for the Texans. But I think all three kids are more likely to be linebackers?
Carlisle would have easily beaten Carson out IMO.
Recently borderline 5 star quarterback from Manvel transferred to RP but just transferred to Elkins because he was not going to start over Austin.
I do agree that Dane Jones was RP’s best receiver and will be a senior this year. Him and Carlisle are good friends and a great pass and catch combo
