What does ranked by KenPom mean?
i meant ranked by him…
We have respectable wins but nothing that makes me feel like we can get mad about rankings right now. It won’t be an issue in a few weeks since we have a conf slate to produce good wins. This team has a lot to prove going forward.

It is crazy to have us unranked….we are ranked on more than just reputation.
The metrics prove it.
There are not even close to 37 teams better than us.

I’m talking top 25. Metrics still are heavily weighted with preseason bias until about January usually.
All 364 teams are rated by him. Does he create a ranking that’s separate from his algorithm rating? None of their wins are top 25 in KenPom. Trying to understand what multiple ranked wins you’re referring to.

but random is that kenpom does release a humna poll, but that wasn’t my point

If the top 25 had no preseason poll and started today, would our 6-3 record with wins of Jackson State, Butler, Louisiana, Hofstra, Notre Dame, and Troy have us in the top 25?

Nobody is disputing those are good teams. But 0-3 is reality. We will be fine
Fair enough. UH lost both the games that had national attention. I only care about the games I March.

It wouldn’t just be about those wins.
Educated voters take into account who the losses are to and by how much.
If we were losing by double digits then I get it….but voters that consider Auburn( 12 first place votes) and Alabama top 5 teams in the country have to consider that one or two plays determined the outcomes of those games.

We have lost 3 games on a neutral court to two top 10 teams and a top 25 team. Two of the ganes went to overtime and the other was easily winnable.
We are a few baskets away from being the undisputed number 1 in the nation.
And those losses are when we are breaking in a new point.
