So much for Wikipedia being such an inferior source of info compared to “legit” sources. This article says the SWC broke up in 1994 (it was actually 1996).

The big12 deal happened in 1994. The 95-96 year was a lame duck year.

They may have decided to create the Big 12 in 1994 but the last SWC competition was in 1996, thus it broke up in 1996.

I’m already pumped for the conference tourney in Ft. Worth and the NCAA, but that article added more pump to my pump. lol
