That would be great Nate. I’m pretty sure Coach knows what we can handle. It would be special to have 5 stars willing to come off the bench if necessary.
I cane remember back all the way back to the ‘90s how frustrating it was to rush out and buy basketball magazines only to never see the Coogs mentioned in recruiting top stars.
Thank you Coach Sampson!

Nate, curious how confident you are with Harwell signing with us?

And I am kind of use to you being a faux authority on recruiting or anything else. Have a nice day MrCoog…If you actually read all the post you would see I could not be more elated than the way this staff is recruiting…

Texas has lots of NIL. :astonished: :see_no_evil:

@MRCoog True.

But, he could be 1 year away from this, as a lottery pick.

Or this as a late 1st round pick

If he goes to Texas & isn’t a 1st round pick. You’re missing out on a lot of guaranteed money

In person Butch is a great guy and always great to talk ball with. He just has a perspective based off many years of service time following UH and sports in general.

If we get Harwell, what a time to be alive.

Gonzaga is his home school. If we’re able to beat them out what a huge victory under CKS cap. No predictions has me a bit worried lol.

Harwell quotes from recent on3 article:

Texas: “they are cool, really chill”

Question is do you want that, when you’re close to being a professional athlete.

probably because it is spelled cougs. But Isiah Harwell doesn’t make that it is Tipton Edits. The recruits use what he sends them.

He was really complementary of Gonzaga and seemed impressed.

It sounds like it’s down to Gonzaga or Houston. Not sure how much influence his parents have, but obviously Gonzaga is a lot closer to his hometown than Houston. Fingers crossed he chooses the Coogs.

I always thought it would be between Gonzaga and UH. Gonzaga already signed 4 :star: SG Davis Fogle, and that recruiting spot is open at UH, so I am hoping that plays a role. Nothwithstanding NIL, players want to know how are you going to develop them, how much playing time will they get, and coach’s history putting players in the NBA.

This one is going down to the wire.

Years ago I decided I was no longer going to worry about what these recruits decide to do.

They either want to come here or they don’t. If they don’t then there’s other kids who do.

I try not to care too much either, but its really hard not to get excited about being legitimately in the running for all these 4 and 5 star kids. Especially all in the same class. Exciting times!

That Gonzaga response has me concerned a bit.
