Play college ball?
Sign for upwards of $5,000,000.00?
That’s a toughie.
Can you make it smaller HH, it’s too big a font.
I’m glad he chose to shut it down when he did rather than keep throwing for that train wreck of a season.
It is interesting that the pitchers are going ahead of position players that Kivett brought in.
A few notable exceptions but not great vs even average B12 pitching.
Numbers inflated from 2/3 of OOC the bottom on barrel.
Murray signed on with Linking Coogs as baseball NIL guy.
Announced before the draft.
Must not think he is getting drafted.
Citelli less than 20 spots ahead of Ekness last year.
Ekness good in 24.
1.58 Era in 40 innings. 5 saves. 49Ks.
Creeping up Marlins prospect list.
At his age there was no way Murray was getting drafted.
Murray deciding to come back for 2024 indicates that he:
A: Wasn’t much of a pro prospect and
B: Understood that fact and chose to enjoy another year of college ball while pursuing an advanced degree.
He was a terrific college player and a credit to UH Baseball. I don’t understand the shots directed at him. He didn’t ask for COVID to pause his college eligibility and all he did was play the cards he was dealt.
I agree with you 100%.
He absolutely chose to play one more year and enjoy himself.
I hope you are not talking about me “taking a shot”?
I simply posted a fact.
Astros have already signed a couple of undrafted free agents.

Trehey has a pretty big arm.
Surprised he wasn’t drafted……though it doesn’t really matter….
We used to go to 40 rounds and we know tons of guys drafted after the 20th round became big leaguers.
Holy put up big numbers but is D-2.
Again, if you can play you can play……there was a D-3 kid picked in the 10th round this year.
Crane was probably behind Holy. Central Missouri is his alma mater.
07/21/24 Los Angeles Angels signed SS Harold Coll.
07/21/24 New York Mets signed RHP Owen Woodward.
07/25/24 Tampa Bay Rays signed RHP Cade Citelli.
Both signed for $150,000.00
Jelkin hasn’t signed after all. The $196.70k is now showing as the pick value. I wonder if it was a typo before, or if there was a problem with his physical.
I would imagine he was trying to get over pick value. I am sure he thinks he lost a lot of value when he got hurt. It will be interesting to see if the Mets agree.
