Is he worse than Carlton was at UConn ?
I am going out on a ledge here, but for some weird reason I trust that the 6-7, 6-9 and 6-10 centers coming in are just what Sampson needs to finally get us some wins.

Yes, but they are FRESHMAN.
So we’ll be sitting pretty in a couple of years.
Unless you are a 5 star, freshman aren’t guaranteed to be of much use.
Sometimes we can get lucky with a 4 star at the start. We will see.
But a seasoned transfer will hit the ground running and help right away.
Speaking of the TT player they are different athletes and players. I knew who we were getting when Carlton signed and never would use a word associated with “worse” when describing him.
One thing is certain - our coaches have a pretty good book on the dude. I doubt the mid season drama plays in his favor.
Do they have to be “ridiculously athletic “ or would regular athletic be okay too?

I have seen Jefferson play in person……he is not a 3*.

I hope he cracks the rotation with Tugler. The others could take a while to develop because of strength or rawness!

I wonder if the staff looks for another big wing, 6’6-6’7 that can also play some small ball 4. TA and Mark are the only wings 6’5+ coming back(as of now) next year. Nice to have big wings going to the big 12.

as long as the are 225+ i doubt he’ll care their natural position
So am I , Kid is a 4 star IMO.
He works like a dog on defense, which I’m sure the Sampson’s love.
His handles were tighter than what my preconceived ideas thought they would be.
He did a good job of trying to facilitate the ball and passed on a couple of open shots to get teammates involved….I think he will be a four year player for UH.

I agree. Very typical Sampson guard but I think he has NBA upside if he stays all 4 years. He’s very aggressive on defense and loves to do the dirty work. He’s a great combo guard
