Life is good.
But tell me we’re overranked
But Coogfans told me we havent played anyone. If UH beats KU theyll be moved to #1, book it.
Gosh it will feel good to jump people in the polls for the top spot.
I doubt we pass up Purdue unless they get ran out of the gym in Madison but we definitely pass up UConn in bracketology and get a few first place votes our way in the AP should we win Saturday
You know what the (not) funny part is? On the Reddit basketball forums people still sh*t on us! They say there’s a difference between Q1A and Q1B. These people are insufferable they can keep talking their smack and we’ll keep winning games.
They’ve calmed down on us since the UCF game but some of the takes that they were coming up about us this time 2 years ago were so crazy I still remember them lmao
Don’t sweat any of this stuff. We play in the best league in the country and currently sit atop the standings. If we can come away with the W in Lawrence this weekend we’ll be in the drivers seat to win the Big 12 in our first year.
I’m buying the shirt
Win a natty?
I’m buying the hat, shirt, hoodie, socks and underwear
We’re Number 1! Too soon?
Houston is the No. 1 team in the country, according to both KenPom and NCAA Evaluation Tool (NET) rankings, with its 7-2 record in Quad 1 games tied with reigning national champion Connecticut and current betting favorite Purdue for the best in all of college basketball. Both KenPom and NET rankings are considered by the selection committee when determining where a team lands in the NCAA tournament field.
KenPom is a widely respected metrics system that uses adjusted efficiency margin—the difference between a team’s offensive and defensive efficiency, with factors such as strength of opponent weighed in—for its overall rankings, in addition to providing data on a variety of other categories.
Who wants a target on their back? Just march forward. The best thing about college basketball is the only ranking that matters is on the last day.
Q1A and/or Q1B??? Keep moving those goalposts! lol
Things like Q1A and Q1B does exist but unless we suffer another long term injury we will do enough down the stretch to be a surefire one seed by selection sunday imo
Where does it exist? NCAA made the quad system and they don’t have it.
If Q1A and Q1B exists, so does Q1C, Q1D, Q1Q, Q1MCL, Q1F(x), or any other thing anyone wants to put on twitter. Kind of useless. Also, just to re-iterate, not real.
It gets designated on the team sheets the committee created so it is a real thing. Not sure how important it really is given that the talking heads really only ever talk about the 4 quadrants and not the subdivisions.
I’ve seen the team sheets on NCAA Teamsheet Ranks - Customizable College Basketball Tempo Free Stats - T-Rank,
But never seen the Q1a on the ncaa website. You have a link for use by committee?
