I don’t think that’s obvious; I think we were relatively fortunate to have TCU commit a couple of unforced errors in the first half. Generally, a lopsided stat sheet that doesn’t align with the scoreboard points to luck playing a substantial factor, and when I see that at the end of the first half, it tends to predict what’s going to happen in the second half pretty well.
Bluntly, we’re fortunate not to be 0-3 and staring down a winless season. We should be grateful to Frank Harris for gifting us that win.
Honestly…once we passed on Deion last fall and chose to stick with CDH we should have thrown money at flipping half of our roster to build this “depth” especially if we knew how embarrassing we’d look.
Colorado did it …but they also hired a coach with an actual plan
Kick Return teams performed very well. TD and good yardage.
Defense had its moments but ultimately could not consistently stop the run or pass. Nice to
get 2 turnovers.
D. Smith had some nice throws and some receiver drops that shouldn’t have happened. Some throws were behind the receiver however. He can still improve his game I think.
Punting team was good at getting ball downed deep a few times.
Big negative Running game and offensive line push is real liability. Not many holes getting opened.
Looking forward to seeing how we respond with Sam coming in.
Five years.
1.5 yds per rush
Give up 35 first downs and 7 yds a play
Score no offensive TDs
If there is anyone stupid enough to buy into Dana’s blame game then I hope like Hell they don’t have the launch codes. This is a full-on, program-zapping disaster. What was the allure of giving Holgerson 8-10 years to win consistently?
