Transfer portal 2024

Whoever is coming in won’t announce until someone else on our side “declares” for the portal. Right now, even with Shead leaving, there are still two incoming freshmen that will take the two open spots.

Considering that player may not be wanting to leave, efforts will likely be made to ensure that player has a landing spot before they “declare” so that they aren’t left twisting in the wind.

Of course, this is basically all done at this point…just hasn’t been announced to the public as of yet. If you caught the CKS briefing on Monday he said that he already knew who would be on the roster next season, but it wasn’t his place to announce player’s decisions.

Bron Bron is entering draft (while maintaining college eligibility) despite starting only 5 games and avg. less than 5 PPG. Haha

It seems that Penny is on another shopping spree!

We do this every year with Memphis. Turnover the roster and underachieve. Also they posted his stats from the year before instead of this year :joy:

Man if Penny ever decides to coach his teams, they could be a force.

My guess, and this is only a guess, is things will start breaking after the Final Four. After the Final Four, all attention turns to the Transfer Portal in college basketball.

The goal all along has been for him to play in a game against his dad. He won’t get drafted, but someone will sign him, send him to the G league and bring him up to play in a game against his dad. It will be a wild, short-lived ride.

Has a father son duo ever played in the NBA together? I know it’s happened in baseball but basketball it doesn’t seem like most people play long enough for it to happen

They called me smug. The account of mine was active before Dedan was in HS. Fact check. I said nothing about UNLV. I explained our culture, the 7-8 players that Sampson has put in the NBA the past 4-5 years, that Dedan was always a heavy lean to come here until “pressure” to follow his dad won out…against his mom’s wishes, and that seeing what Shead did this year, our ranking/seeding had to play a factor in him wanting a change if he wants to win and get to the NBA…i.e…see CKS’ RECENT track record of success and sustainability. They also brought up NIL being the factor of his impending transfer. I refuted that with explaining that THAT ain’t how CKS operates.

You chose to skim over what I said : their original post about my post was that I said that Dedan was the player that reached out to us in January, which wasn’t true.

So since you didn’t read it, which I suspected all along…GTFOH with that BS.

You’re right but it is still a bad look to be posting on their board. Some things are better left unsaid.

I forgot to mention this - not that it matters or that I’ll care how people feel - but I’ve never posted on other school’s boards. Never. Not my style. I searched for a UNLV board cuz Hill(I think it was) mentioned that they were having a meltdown or something to that effect.

I went to their board with the sole purpose to confirm what they were saying/hearing about Dedan leaving(to read in “stealth mode” like normal). To my complete surprise, there was my quote that I posted in here about Wade. They assumed it about Dedan and the followup comment said “no wonder we were playing like ASS then”…so #CarryTheHellOn
