Not to be that guy, except for both being tall and decent passers Dejon and Uzan are not the same
Dejon was a freak athlete and elite in 1 on 1 iso, Dejon issue when he came (and at umass) was that he thought he was Kobe and doing way too much… he’d try to shake 2 defenders and then finish it off with a no look crazy pass… Sampson often mentioned about him no going for the home run every play
Uzan is not the same kind of athlete and doesn’t have the shakenBake or burst of Dejon… but the pros uzan is nowhere as reckless as sophomore Dejon. Both of their shooting on paper are not good. But from film it was obvious Dejon shooting form needed dramatic work, Uzans looks fine in the sense of form
I played a couple players at Hofheinz when I was in my early 30s and had to adjust to their way of playing taking out all the hustle and rebounding. I see McF playing check up after every make and miss so reminded me watching the video.
Sorry, I haven’t been paying attention at all-- is Uzan the only guy we are anticipating to bring in this off-season from the portal? And Dunn is the only one we expect to lose?
As of today our only two departures are Shead to the NBA and Dunn to the portal. Uzan appears to be our only add as we are already full on scholarship players and only have one more roster spot in total available for a potential walk on role. Could that spot be filled by a “wink and nod” walk on sure, but more than likely that spot will go to an actual walk on practice guy if it goes to anyone.
The way coach construct last season’s roster to keep up with high scoring teams like Miami, i get the impression coach added Milos Uzan to match up well with Iowa St.
