The official Bring Deion Sanders to Houston thread

I give credit to Dion for building a winning program in a short period of time at a school that hasn’t done much of anything since Gary Barnett left in 2005. People initially trashed him for getting rid of so many players but clearly those same players weren’t getting it done on the field. Not too different than what I expect from Fritz to do at UH.

I fully expect some turnover this offseason if CWF wants to build a winning program. I’m also hoping he makes some staff changes after evaluating the program at the end of the season.

Fertitta owns a NBA team…I don’t think he’s intimated by huge egos

That does not seem to deter ESPN from floating the idea that Sanders should go to the Dallas Cowboys.

The Hard Knocks cameras couldn’t get there fast enough.

He can control them as the owner but the rockets don’t even have an ego guy anyway - a guy like Deion popping off at the mouth etc would be a threat to him

Compared to that incompetent, lazy dud HC we had at time of this thread, Prime looks like Vince Lombardi. I am Team Willie all the way, like Prime he’s a proven winner. We’ll never be embarrassed to say CWF is our HC, win or lose, unlike the clown show act before

Fertitta and Tom Herman’s ego clashed so much that Fertitta was ready to hand Tom a blank check to keep him.

Money people can overlook ego when the program is winning. (Unless you’re Jerry Jones. )
