Keenum for qb coach
CJ was better when he was on the sideline with him
How about Jason Garrett
The old cowboys offenses were good
I think whomever it is needs to have been there and is seasoned
Our head coach is smart but not seasoned as a head coach the coordinators should be very experienced
I wanted Juice after watching him live against UH @ Cincinatti…
He’s been solid but Sting is one of the best corners in the NFL.
You mean Sauce not Juice
Yeah… Sauce… man, already losing my mind at 44…
Yeah, but we really should have drafted broth….that guy was very fluid and really tied everything together.
Someone needs to tell Stroud to restructure his contract so he can get some top notch OLine guys.
Everytime the Texans QB does well they lose two or three Olinemen to free agency because the QB signed a monster contract and they can’t afford to keep them.
The next year the QB looks bad.
Brady and Manning ALWAYS deferred money to keep their pass blockers.
Manning never would let his agent make him the highest paid qb.
I hope the Texans add new personnel to the IOL. Getting a new OC and OL coach is important, but it still boils down to the on field talent executing. I understand there may be financial issues to keep OL, but make them backups if they can’t beat out the new personnel. With a new OC, all offensive players are starting with a clean slate.
Stroud is on his rookie deal he’s making peanuts as a starting QB now,
Yup
We might need to start up a GoFund me acct for Mr Stroud.
In the CBA.
Rookie contracts not renegotiable.
No extension till after 3d season.
Highest paid QB on at least 2 contracts. It was the headline.
Was in the charts of historically highest % of a teams salary cap.
Could have fallen w some huge deals on young teams since Covid.
Jordan Love w Pack comes 2 mind.
Brady.
Despite taking less $ the Patriots spent the least
on salary his last 5 years. Part of why he left.
Pats on a streak of 10 + years of it now.
Heard that on old GM Shuffle podcast.
Agree. So important to hit on inexpensive rookie OL.
Can’t see those 3 getting better.
Silver lining is that $ on mediocre OL opens up for Stingley after 25.
Pay Sting and still have $ for good vets on short deals for 26.
Then CJ and Anderson need to get $$$.
Yeah but Casserio drafted those lineman that suck….but he gets a pass….hes awesome
I find it humorous the most recent candidate interviewed always seems to be the top candidate. This is probably why they’re holding off on Chip Kelly. Ha
Laremy Tunsil was acquired from the Dolphins in 2018 and given a new contract in 2020, making him the highest paid lineman in the NFL; BOB paid the kings ransom to Tunsil. Caserio, hired by the Texans in 2021 gave him an extension in 2023. In my opinion, he hasn’t been worth it and takes plays off.
Harris? To’o To’o? Stingley? Dell? Petrie? Fisher? Stover? Love you Pollard but cmon man.
He has missed on just as many if not more….and how are you calling Fisher a win? I’ll go with incomplete but not a win.
And Stover? He is below average at best.
Stingley was a great pick, but when you are picking number three , they are supposed to be.
Harris, if he could ever stay on the field would be great value as a 3rd round pick.
Stroud asked for him to take Dell.
Pitre was good as a rookie, absolutely horrible last year and good this year until injury.
I gotta say I disagree with what you are saying are good picks in some cases.
How about Green? If you are picking a guard in the first round, and at 15!? The guy better be a plug and play monster….he is a HUGE bust and a wasted mid-first round pick.
We had two 6ths and 3 7ths last draft……5 late round picks and not one guy of the 5 did squat….this is where your depth comes from……how do we miss on ALL FIVE?!
Overall his drafts have been poor….I’ll stand by that and suggest that you really dig into what he drafted.
His drafts have been pretty good. I missed on Green too. Thought he was another Faneca. Followed him since high school and thought he was a great pick. Caserio’s drafts have been good. To say they are below average is bs. His hands were tied in 2021 due to the trade with Miami for Tunsill and O’Brien’s love of trading draft capital. But he did okay.
2021 was limited by he got QB Mills, Nico Collins, Breven Jordan. Wallow & Lopez were serviceable for late rounds. 2022 was solid even Deculus is still playing |1|3|Derek Stingley Jr.|Cornerback|LSU||

My biggest complaint with Nick is his propensity to trade up but rarely trades down
I 100% disagree with you.
He has missed on a first rounder , a couple of seconds and late rounds have been horrible.
I’m not going to say your take is “bs” like you did mine but IMO he is given too much credit for high picks that every GM in the league should hit on….and getting a free pass on the later rounds.
Do you know of any GM that hits on every draft pick, if you do please name him. If a GM gets 2 or 3 starters in a draft, that’s outstanding in my opinion.
Approximately 30% of all starters in the NFL were 1st round draft picks when they were drafted into the league. Roughly 30% were taken in the 2nd or 3rd round, and 26% were taken in rounds 4 through 71. Overall, 629 drafted players became starters for at least half of their NFL careers
