Agreed - the refs kind of botched that because nobody knew what was going on. Still, probably should have gone for the field goal but the running clock seemed to be a rare instance that the coaches just werenât familiar with.
I kinda put that at Texans cuz even I was like when they set that ball clock should run and we need to spike
that made my head hurt⊠I think both the refâs and our coaches messed up.
reminded me of the ending of the UT game last yearâŠ
I think part of the confusion was the announcement that the Colts had taken a timeout; they should have been clear that upon the second (?) review the timeout apparently got reversed, and the clock was going to start. Just an all-around bad job from the refs.

Watching primarily college football for the last couple weeks, Iâm astounded by how good the NFL product is. The broadcast production is incredible, and even the bad players are unbelievably athletic. The ads feel so much less intrusive than they do in every other league. Itâs incredible.
