So he’s made 3.1 million to ride the bench. Math wasn’t my major but that’s a lot of money for nothing
cause he’s a manning and people will just want to be in the room with him to get access to the family if needed
Manning was the #1 recruit in his class and does have the Manning pedigree. To infer that he is getting a sizable NIL for Texas to gain the rub of the Manning name is unfair to Arch. The kid is very talented and would be getting that NIL at a number of schools that offered,
College football is over 100 years old. Clearly none is actually needed to run a team.
This isn’t just slush fund money, this is exchanges for advertising appearances and usage. If that market won’t actually bear these prices (and they manage to police the corruption and shenanigans) then these numbers will evaporate.
Advertising on jerseys ? Equipment containers, water coolers, shoes, pants, helmets?
Maybe hire Sylvester Turner. Isn’t he out of a job right now?
Last year Aggies spent $76M in NIL (across all sports). Showing up in Ws and Ls this year as direct result.

The crazy thing - what’s the hit rate on QBs? 1/3 MAYBE? That’s a lot to NIL money to burn, unless they are going to bank on getting it right.
Again he’s a manning - that has something to do with it - remember Chris Simms?
Also, kids ain’t doing public appearances like it was intended - it’s pay to play
Chris Hollins knows how to raise money.
He may be available soon too.
NIL by itself is not an answer or the answer.
Solid NIL + Top line scouting + Good to Great Coaching + some luck = the answer
People will point to teams like TAMU under Jimbo that spent like crazy and got a poor return because they were:
NIL - top line scouting - good coaching - luck = bad answer
You can have Poor to mediocre NIL + The Best Scouting + Great Coaching + luck = a good answer
but that will usually get beat by
Top of the line NIL + The Best Scouting + Good to Great Coaching +luck = championships
Certainly you can lose with a good NIL but you can’t win with a bad NIL.
We need some miscreants hanging around the school . . . . .
It is $20 million in salary starting next year. That is not NIL. Two different topics.
NIL does not come from schools and would be in addition to the paying players.
But from Tejas supporters point of view, he is on the bench not playing against them.
Before scholarship limitation reforms a lot of coaches recruited kids knowing they were not planning to play them just so other schools couldn’t.
The richest schools know this. There is so much money in play it is bound to happen with NIL.
And for the where’s your research, proof posters I don’t have any, JMO.
Nope. NIL. This year.
Eventually, it will be all contract players so they stay 4 years.
