I’m behind Fritz, this season sucks, it was always going to suck no matter how optimistic we were. He’s not happy about it but I know the guy is a winner, he’s got to figure it out and he will. He’s not a flash in the pan. There must be stuff going on with Ale that they’re not saying. I suggest alcohol or if that’s not your thing, take your dog to the park, we surived 0-11 we’ll survie this.
We’ve been irrelevant going on almost 8 years now
And we’ve been a power conference program for a little over a year. Even if we came in hot as hell it was going to be an adjustment.
Some posters have concluded that after 5 games, Fritz can’t coach, which defies a 30 year coaching career. Has anyone ever bought a stock that never went down? If so please tell me and include the ticker symbol. Fritz is navigating his way through a tumultuous period in UH football and his experience is no doubt what will bring us out of it. It takes time. Better days are ahead.
In 2021 we were ranked in the top 25. If that’s irrelevant then I’m ok with being irrelevant.
We also got screwed out of likely overtime against Tejas and took 20 minutes to wake up against Arroz. Were we really so bad last year?
1 top 25 appearance 3 years ago with a win over a P5 (now P4) to end a 12-win season that was loss to a playoff team away from a NY6 bowl is irrelevance?
UH athletic administration would have fired CWF before the end of the 2021 season.
BYU, SMU, UCF, Cincy a combined 15-4 this year.
Is that when we won the pop tart bowl against Auburn’s third stringer who finished his career at Texas El Paso or somewhere like that?
Correct.
I’m believe in him again when hoops season starts.
We’ve played a much harder slate and none of those schools are breaking in a new coach (BYU’s SOS is actually pretty good but the others are meh). Cincy broke in a new HC last year and went 3-9 after the greatest period in their program’s history. Their boards looked very similar to ours last year. Lo and behold they look much improved this year. I expect us to make a similar jump, if not then the seat under CWF will start to warm.
That’s fair.
I’m with Willie.
Just stating why some people could be getting frustrated.
Yup, a bowl game win against an SEC opponent.
Now say it without crying
Virtual road win.
If he can’t coach instant success then he’s dead to me. Coogfans won’t stop complaining till we get our next Tom Herman
Yeah, my biggest concern isn’t whether he’ll eventually win games here. The damage being done by not having any semblance of an offense is real.
