School Shooting in Georgia

So we’re all in agreement then, kids get an extra day off per semester? Or do we do it like Veterans Day where we observe it, but then everyone is off Memorial Day?

You mean like the movie Red Yawn?

I think I found the root of the bigger issue about the guns

We’ve always had people wanting to shoot up other people. The difference is they now have access to military grade weapons with high rates of fire.

Same data, but slightly different presentation.

Also the Heller decision in 2008 also didn’t help with gun proliferation.

You point out the fact that mass shootings increased after the weapons ban was lifted, but you won’t say why mass shooting statistics were roughly the same before the weapons ban was even set in place. Why?

What about mass shootings before the weapons ban of 1994?

Have you figured out why music made in America by Americans isn’t our music? And can you explain it to me?

Not clear what you are saying. They were increasing prior to ban. Look at 5 posts up for years 1989, 1991, 1992, and 1993.

Have you figured out that the black American experience is not the same as the white American experience?

Have you figured out that rap music, including gangster rap, is essentially the response to the historically racist policies set by white politicians?

Yes i understand American music

Wow

A 3 year decline following the ban followed by a spike leading up to columbine.

Followed by a major terrorist attack, which for the first time in years, united Americans discounting the rampant Islamophobia present at the time

You really got somethin there don’t ya

So you can’t take me serious because I consider that American?

A white American, cannot claim black culture, even if said culture was developed by black Americans

It doesn’t work that way buddy

Its American buddy no matter the skin color. When people buy jazz, Rnb, soul, rap in other parts of the world they are consuming American music. The music i listen to everyday of my life. So yes its part of my American experience and it is me.

And its capitalism that brings us that music too. I know the world is so twisted

People are free to consume whatever they want, wherever they reside.

You are free to celebrate music that was originated out of America.

But, unless you are a black person, you absolutely have no right to suggest that music created from black struggle and black experiences, is a part of YOUR experience (assuming you’re white)

Yes I have the data. 10 of the 11 years were below the trend line prior to the ban.
With the noted one year exception. Data
reflects what similarly happened in Australia , even though you refuse to accept data from other countries.

Unless I’m misinterpreting what you’re saying, if 10/11 years were below the trend line, then how does that suggest the ban was a success if shootings slightly increased leading up to columbine, which wasn’t even carried out with assault weapons?

Because other countries have their own culture and sociopolitical history. It’s irrational to compare American statistics to the statistics of other countries, especially for something like gun violence.

So music has skin color?
I can tell you without any hesitation i know more about the mudic and the artists than you do. I have been accepted at every show i have gone too and championed the music my whole life. Yes it is very much my experience and screw you for having the gull to think you can tell me what is my life.
