Yes… when employment goes up, gun violence goes down. That doesn’t mean the effects of the pandemic suddenly go away.

Generally speaking, I think it’s true crime goes down when employment goes up.
But this is a thread on mass shootings. And please study the number of mass shootings and tell me mass shootings are

I would speculate that you can find folks with terrorist goals in many organizations.
It would be foolish to think criminals and terrorist are not members in our
religious and non religious organizations (Christian, Muslim, Scouts, etc) . If for nothing more than to provide cover perhaps ?
I don’t personally know ones at the church I attend , but doesn’t mean they don’t exist.
That doesn’t mean the Richmond FBI didn’t make mistakes , but sounds like they
were held accountable. I’m good with that.
Credible leads have to be investigated.
Being reported father bought gun used as a present in December 2023 for his 14 year old son. The kid earlier had been investigated for threats of shooting up a school. Makes no sense.
Gun nut father ? Hope law comes down hard on the dad.

I was going to post the same. They just arrested the dad, and he is complict. They need to drop the hammer on all parents who straw purchase and allow unrestricted access to guns by kids.

What a stupid country we are to have allowed this to happen. Bad laws and poor thinking by citizens led to this result.
Those stats wont mean anything when you need guns to stop the Rich. Remember we can’t change any guns laws because of numerous doomsday scenarios where the individuals with guns become the saviors.

To take away guns? Not going to happen.
To ban “assault weapons”? Sure, go ahead. Didn’t stop columbine, and it didn’t stop Virginia Tech (the worst school shooting in US history, done by handguns)
I reiterate. The emancipation proclamation was enacted in the 1860s. The civil rights acts was enacted in the 1960s. Neither of which were that long ago, and both of which were largely centered around economics.
Climate change, is continuously worse with really no end in sight because the wealthy want to continue living wealthy, and the middle class wants to live like the wealthy. This is also an issue not solely facing the United States.
If things get bad enough, yes, the wealthy would attempt to obtain all the resources at the expense of the poor (essentially what’s happening now, considering the racial wealth gap is getting wider and wider despite minorities being “freerer” tan ever).
It’s not about “stopping the rich”. It’s about making sure they know they can’t just hoard resources in the scenario where s**t hits the fan. Of course, Americans refuse to ever believe this happens because of how long we’ve been privileged.
The increase in school shootings is largely a problem with roots in factors beyond guns. It’s the social climate. It’s social media. It’s capitalism.
All we can do is offer thoughts prayers and lols

No where else in the world has rap music, videos games, and social media. Only Amerian capitalism causes this, no other country is so unique to have to live with this sad reality. Lol right?
