School Shooting in Georgia

I wish a politician would issue a "Lol’ after one of these instead of “thoughts and prayers”

Once more, a kid gets access to this type
of weapon. Sadly, last year they investigated this kid after threats were made. Would better red flag laws have helped ?

Weapon used in the Georgia school shooting was an AR-15 style rifle, law enforcement official says

Per this source, Georgia is full wild west and has no red flag laws.

Oh, yikes.

Are you seriously suggesting this could never happen? In light of all the recent revelations about the FBI, I mean?

Another 2 students and 2 teachers die for freedom. So roughly 7100 soldiers were killed in Afghanistan and Iraq since operations began in 2001. That took over 20 years

Dead kids from guns on US soil did that in like 5 years. Sounds like we’re not thanking them enough for their service to freedoms. I mean if they’re dying in similar numbers they should at least get an extra day off school. You know since f**k em otherwise

What are you talking about exactly ?

The FBI should be going to the house themselves….it is a mistake to just relay information to the sheriffs office and have them handle it.

Heck, one of those guys could be hunting buddies with the dad or even related to him.
( I’m not joking).

And if the dad vouched for the kid and put his name on it, he should absolutely go to jail as well.

Especially if he lied about what type of guns he had in his possession.

Speak up, what are you saying?
I’d like to know what you are alluding to.

What exactly is government tyranny in the modern era?

Do I think that our own military or police force will kills its own citizens because the president says so? No I don’t.

If our country went into civil chaos, then I think it’s far more likely that the wealthy and elites will attempt to buy private militias and secure as many resources as possible whether it be food, shelter, electricity etc.

In that scenario, a gun ban will essentially leave everyone else powerless while the wealthy have all the resources and protection

For this very reason, I think the the right to bear arms is imperative to keep the ones with the power in check

We cannot ban weapons for circumstances that are already rare in nature such as school shootings despite the media portraying them as a common occurrence. I think alternative actions should be taken that both left and right can compromise on. Start with investing more into the police force to protect schools

Ahhh…the old ‘potential for a dystopian future’ defense of unrestricted gun rights…that’s a classic.

Meanwhile there are 1.2 guns for every man, woman & child in the US and an additional +20 million will be purchased this year.

Next try to figure out why another +50K will die from guns in the US this year. Surely, it can’t be because we have too many…maybe we need more!

But hold on…I was told more guns makes us safer.

There’s a word here that describes what the US has devolved to regarding guns…

Only Amerians are ready for the dystopian future. Our guns also have us ready for the zombie future. The sad people in the rest of the world are screwed in both those cases but gun toting Americans will always survive.
The the 2nd amendment guarantees us freedom from the government, the rich and the zombies just as our founding fathers envisioned.

Yeah and this country allowed legal slavery up until the late 1800s, and racial discrimination was legal up until the mid-late 1900s, which really wasn’t that long ago

Suggesting that things can’t go wrong in this country, which really is at the behest of economics, is quite the privileged thing to say

I would also argue that gun violence in this country isn’t solely mass shootings by disturbed white men and women.

Look at the Georgia shooting that just happened by a kid coming from a seriously broken home and drug addicted family members.

As I’ve said before, inner city violence is largely a failure of capitalism and the after affects of racist policies, policies thay are not only still impacting black communities, but they are also overlapping race and have become social issues regardless of race (this doesn’t disregard race by any means, however)

All i can say Lol
