You have the wrong Alvin Franklin in mind sir. The one in pic works for UH Athletics, not even sure he’s a UH Alum.
The Alvin Franklin that passed was member of 82-84 Coogs teams during Phi Slama Jama era. The funeral service has happened and Hakeem Olajuwon was there along w many of his former teammates were in attendance.

It was during the time I was there 1981-85. I saw most of the home games. He was great. So sad.
