Looks like Francis still started. That’s good he needs the reps

i get that we are blowing them out… but with any context this is really bad basketball (there are high school teams better than this)
up 28-13

the film looks terrible - they have done a pretty good job of keeping us at poor shooting percentages in the post

McFarland sprained ankle had to be helped off the court

That’s exactly why Sampson scheduled this game. For the young guys/bench unit

He’s so fast and quick for a guy that size it’s insanely rare. But he is just so light he gets pushed around by everybody

He needs to live in the weight room between now and Oct 15

McFarland is back in the game so I guess the ankle is ok.

That other team is bad. And our decision making is bad right now.

The other team is not letting the blow out discourage them they are not giving it to them.

New Aussieism from game 3 - our guards were “pressurizing “ theirs

We either gave them points to not make them look bad

Or they let off and did not mind making mistakes because we were up so much

Either way they need to choke teams out or they will do what we do to them.

Who was reffing? Curious

Bruh… We were up 50 and won by 40. I’m pretty sure that qualifies as choked out.

Yep he had two points and 0 rebounds but did muster up four fouls in the little time he played according to the stat sheet.
It hasn’t clicked yet.
But we also need to remember that it didn’t click for Harris until his senior year.

Offensively, we are a doughnut team. I think Dunn was THE key acquisition because he will be able to score at the FT line in those stretches when our guards aren’t making shots.

Sharp needs to work on his passing. He’s becoming less of a one dimensional scoring but he needs to get better at reading the situation. Because there were times like this today where that’s a simple pass to Arceneaux in the corner. The Lane is crowded and the roght corner is wide open and Arceneaux would have plenty of time to do what he wants.

Or maybe he just needs to improve his finishing. But I do think he should look to improve his playmaking too

did you watch the game? they won the 4th quarter… 34 on their team started trying to show out to finish the game
with context of the actual film, elvin hit a end of game 3, im not counting that
we only scored 12pts the last 1.5 quarters, only 5 pts that last 9 game minutes, and we were actually throwing up shots, we werent trying to kill time, we were actively trying to score … i think they had like 24pts in that span… mostly fgs and prior to that could barely score and relied on the ft line

they are a thrown together team… they 100% left the game thinking if they could run it back they would have done way better, not that they were overmatched, but took too long to adjust…

you can look at 1st half and 2nd half differentials, but by the meaning of that term they weren’t

So we already played the 4th game. This trip went by fast

The practices along with getting a trip of a life time are the real benefits to this. The games are the least important part though we at least get some opposition to run our sets against.
